My dad was lost to Covid and, as he was isolating with only home care visits very early on in the pandemic I suspect that the virus was transmitted via the carer. Certainly no blame as the care company could not get PPE at the time so an impossible situation.

Anybody who is against protection when advised to use it is a selfish ignorant dickhead in my book.
Condolences mate, it's been terrible for so many people, unimaginable.

However i think we need to be careful with labeling people. I have a friend who is the most reasonable person i have ever known, he went from being shit scared to completely not believing anything. The mixture of lockdowns, disinformation, shit heads in charge etc has changed a lot of people. Strange times, we can't really compare it to anything in our lifetime.

The funny thing is, i've been deaf since birth in my left ear.
When the docs said they'd have to take it off i said " take the fcuking thing, it's never worked anyway"
Bit of a problem wearing sunglasses now though
Go to the tattooist and have a peg put in to rest your glasses on , bit extreme i know , ha

Just for the sake of clarity, this thread is about what people may or may not do after all Covid restrictions are lifted.

It is not about flouting current restrictions.

Correct, I’ve no issues with anybody not wearing a mask once the people in charge of that particular country deem it safe to do so.
Like I said in my first post, there will be certain times and places that I’ll keep one with me but my everyday life will be mask free.
From Saturday as it happens.
Dickheads boasting that they have never worn one though, well they can fuck off.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad , the situation with ppe early doors was a complete mess , if the carers had it they would have worn them , sorry for your loss

Shevtheblue. Thanks for your comments, they are appreciated. You are correct these are indeed unprecedented times. I don’t want to label anybody yet neither do I accept the views from those who say that they have never worn a mask In any situation. Everybody was supposed to wear masks not long ago, even when walking down the street. To boast that they happily ignored this advice has unsurprisingly upset me.

I can understand that and as I have posted above, I have complied with all restrictions and the thread is only about when those restrictions are lifted.

Katz. Thanks and you are right it was a mess. I could not visit dad for the last 9 weeks he was living at home and before his last days in hospital. Early lockdown I wanted to get him into a care home thinking he would be better of in one. The care homes I approached said that they would happily take him if I could produce a clear test. It was the time last year where test kits were impossible to obtain. In retrospect the care home option would probably have led to the same outcome. Saying goodbye to your dad by phone as he effectively drowned alone with his lungs shot in hospital is an experience I will never get over. It’s why for the first time as a poster I have let my emotions overrule my decorum. To the idiots who have flouted the guidelines and to those who may still do so, be very ashamed of your actions.

No, rules being made to satisfy the scardest person are the problem , I won’t live like you .
There’s no space between a word and comma and/or full stop.

It’s one thing being a mouth breathing covid-truthing thunder-clit, it’s another getting that wrong in every single post.

It’s weird, or probably not that weird, but literally no poster that has an IQ higher than a house brick ever seems to post covid-truther horseshit. It’s always people like you.

It is desperately sad to have to say goodbye to your loved one like that , covid is vicious , it takes away the one thing we value which is human contact , i am not surprised that you will never forget that
