I have noticed - admittedly on Talkshite and the like - that Mata started out @£32 m and now they quote as "over £40m deal " - the rags will cry Ushited tax of course - but this rising of the price comes at a time when tat £200m warchest went down through £150m to £100m - maybe they are going to buy big with Mata then claimall the money is spent ( even though they may also be making up the difference with grannyshagger to the Tarquins so actually £0 spend in the window)

What would be funny is if the warchest keeps coming down - I can see it not being Mata and ending up settling at £450k for Luke Varney or Gary Taylor Fletcher ha ha ha

Yes but surely the shot they would have wanted would have been of Mata at training so given that they have not been able to capture this then i would suggest he wasnt there<br /><br />-- Wed Jan 22, 2014 3:48 pm --<br /><br />Hes a top class player and obviously been in and out of the team this year but bar one sub appearance v spurs I cant recall him having a good game this season. That said I do like him - hes second only to Silva in a player of that type in the league
