I am really surprised he is going there, so much for not being able to attract decent players

It was always a fantasy of City fans desperate to see them decline. They never will, but nor will they dominate like they once did, especially with Moyes in charge.

Chelsea TV said everyone apart from Torres trained.

Photos on twitter suggest otherwise

not sure how a picture can show you that some one isnt there, maybe he was out of shot?

I would have thought that if he had missed training then Sky and Talksport would have been wetting themselves over it

It did say earlier on sky that he missed training

Jesus Christ ,does anyone really fuckin believe that they've made a near £40 million bid ,talk about gullible !

I am still unconvinced this transfer will happen. If it does though and if it keeps United in the top 4, it's probably a good thing. Wee Davey is doing a great job at fucking things up and the longer he's there the better. If they really bombed (more) this season, doubtless he would be sacked sooner and they might bring someone half decent like Hiddink in. I'd rather they had Mata than Hiddink.

Their stature in Europe has not been effected at all. Just the other day Klopp was comparing them with Madrid in quality. Said it here many times, but this was part of the reason City struggled in Europe. It takes a lot longer for people to catch on to things overseas. Nobody feared City, because they were not watching them. It takes time for domestic changes to sink it.

There are only 5 things I have a realistic hope of and wish I could see.

1. England win the world cup.
2. Crystal Palace win a major trophy
3. England host the world cup.
4. Manchester United collapse and end up in midtable obscurity.
5. Arsenal collapse and end up in midtable obscurity.

This summer Arsenal were on the brink and then Ozil happened. This January United were on the brink and now Mata happens.

As a Chelsea fan said to to me today 'No decision is too stupid for us'

United have made an official £35m bid according to Beeb breaking news. I reckon it'll end up closer to £40m.
