We had been controlling the game without really creating much until their goal.

Aguero is isolated and Nasri isn't doing too much. Yaya looking dangerous when he's on the ball. Fernandinho doing a great job and Garcia is not too bad.

Clichy was absolutely terrible for the goal and since then has been looking very nervous, getting beat far too easily. He has become a real concern for me as ever since that final vs Wigan where he got turned inside out he has been really poor by his own standards. I almost feel more confident with Kolarov! I think unless he improves his form quickly this is the position we need to invest in asap as teams are targeting it and its costing us.

Demichelis and Nasti are doing ok on the whole, lucky with Torres missing but still looking shaking when they run at us. Poor positioning for the goal but that is something likely to happen with yet another new CB pairing.

I would like to see Negredo come on to give us a target and hold the ball up. Play Aguero in behind him with Silva floating. Sub of Nasri and keep the midfield three as it is.

My personal opinion (which nobody will agree with) is that the Barça duo are systematically undermining the project from within prior to moving back to Catalonia in a season or two. Mission accomplished (ie: stop these English upstarts from moving to the next level and thus being able to truly compete on every level with Barça). But I AM a conspiracy theorist in general.

We are clearly being coached to slow the game down at every possible opportunity. It is absolutely unforgivable that a team of such talented attacking players should have their ability coached out of them.

In the title winning season we were devastating at counter attacking and solid defensively.

We've spent £100m since to improve the squad and we've gone backwards In a very very big way.

I'm sad to say that we now look like the Hughes team that finished upper mid table and drew 8 games in a row the season after and that is unforgivable. Questions need to be asked at the very highest level and the time when individuals may need to pay with their position is fast approaching.
