Although he never fitted MPs system this lad being jibbed isn't down to ability because he's a very good player.

The way he was frozen out I can only presume he said / did something MP took umbridge with.

Basically an 'I'm the boss so get your coat' type scenario.

There are rumours that Nastasic was frozen out after rejecting a move in the summer, which in turn prevented us from signing another player and infuriated Pellegrini. No idea if it's true or not, but it would explain his continued absence from the squad, even when fit.

As for the Schalke move, it's frustrating that it's only a loan with an option to buy but needs must - we're not allowed to increase our wage bill, so Schalke paying his wages allows us to bring in Bony.

I think Laporte, Gimenez and maybe even Mangala (dodgy start aside) would be more in demand than Nastasic. Nastasic has a chance to rebuild his career but right now his stock isn't high enough to go in a 'young XI' team and probably shows in the caliber of club (2nd/3rd tier) chasing him.
