Matija Nastasic

Waltzing Matija
Waltzing Matija
You'll come a waltzing Matija with me
And he plays for the blues with his skipper Vincent Kompany
You'll come a waltzing Matija with me.

I thank you ;-)

One word.

Perception.

One word.

Worthless.

Good one.

Perhaps he could have the craic with his team mates, contribute to motivating other players, concentrate on sitting there without his face up his arse.

There is no 'I' in 'team'.

Him listening to his walkman whilst at work says me me me.

Not sure why I am surprised.
Pete, take a deep breath and look at what you have written..you sound insane mate. I am sure Lescott is very much a team player and your comments are totally out of place

The thread is about Nasti not if Lescott listens to tunes during a game, and on pure football skills Nasti wins hands down.

Next time you watch the QPR game, forget the goal gifted by Lescott and watch what happens when they get a break down the left in the last few mins, Lescott struggles to get to the ball but does get there first, and is shrugged off with little effort, but for a poor cross we would have lost the game because 3-1 was on the cards with a man unmarked in the middle.

Nasti looks far more composed with the ball, his positioning and pace make it not even close, and though he looks smaller than Lescott handles the psychical side better.
I will be honest and say Lescott has never really impressed me anyway, but when Micah is back we will be well covered for central defenders and the time to move Lescott on is now while we can still get something for him.

Not sure you can say that Nastasic handles things better physically - maybe not yet anyway. You make some good points though, and in nearly every other category Nastasic is superior.

He needs to keep playing for his development, simple as.

Just catching up on the last few replies and without reading them all it seems Lescott had his headphones on during a game.

Does anyone know what he was listening to? Do they know for a fact that it wasn't some kind of motivational tool aimed at putting him in the right frame of mind and focussing him, rather than him having to listen to crowd noise and therefore allow him to be "In the zone" should he need to come on?

Or are people just assuming he's listening to some badass mofo rap singer?
