Fucking hilarious when the commentators were banging on about Hummels looking 'a bit shaky and uncomfortable' on the ball, after a bit of pre-match build up talking about the German press being unsure about him, shortly after which he preceded to play several superb forward passes, including a run nearly through the entire Portuguese team to feed Muller nearly on the edge of the box. They finally gave him a little credit about looking 'improved' in the second half even though he was clearly a million miles ahead of their estimation even before the first half ended. It was nearly as bad as the Sneijder fawning every time he made a simple ten yard fucking pass.

We don't need to break up a top partnership in Kompany and Lescott, Barcelona don't have the best partnership in the world in my opinion but they have 2 solid defenders who do a job - look at how much they have won!

Me and Mrs DH were pissing ourselves at that, was it Lawrenson as well who said it ? If so even stranger seeing as though he was reknowned for being a very similar player so if anything he should be more than aware of what Hummels is about.

hummels is a very good player but i would prefer it if we let rekik replace lescott he is our stand out player at academy level and when on loan at portsmouth performed very well, maybe he might need a loan to a premiership club but imo he should be given the chance to replace lescott. btw i dont see the point in breaking up the kompany and lescott partnership its working perfectly for us.

I don't think Rekik has a chance of starting for at least another 3 years.

i think he needs a loan to another premiership club a bit like jack wilshere when he went to bolton and then we can see if hes ready, but happens to rekik if we sign hummels? we need to give him a chance imo but i see where your coming from.
