He started 5 games in a row, that's the longest he's been in the team. Missed 1 game due to injury so that's not the reason as to why he's not starting more.

Sammy Lee said that we were looking to sign a `top CB`, and that could be one of the reasons we are not buying a left back, and now these reports are coming out. Maybe we`re in for De Ligt after all?

Doubt it, we shouldn't touch Raiola with a bargepole. And that was pure guesswork from Sam based on City's alleged refusal to buy a left back this summer ('City can't afford another LB, it means money are needed elsewhere').

Several young centrebacks were linked with City including BMG's Nico Elvedi and Benfica's Ferro. De Ligt isn't the only good young CB in the world, let others fight for him.

For me it would be De Ligt or Alderweireld or nothing. De Ligt because he’s a generational talent, and Alderweireld cause he has a low release clause. I believe both Garcia and Harwood-Bellis has the potential to make it here, so unless we’re in for De Ligt I would sign an older player that doesn’t block their pathway to the first team. If Gundo stays and we sign Rodri, Dinho could be an option at CB

Looks like our recruitment policy is either very very fluid or we are purposefully laying plenty of false trails to throw the competition of the scent..... I hope it's the second
 

its just the star but we were interested and if the barca move really isnt that close it wouldn't surprise me if we go balls deep for this guy especially with otamendi leaving.
 
I think he is well worth 80, 90M. He is going to be the best CB in the world at least in the next decade. If Otamendi leaves and Kompany a year later probably, we definitely need a CB and there is no better option than him
 
Problem is the Raiola circus and I don't think City would ever pay the commission Raiola would demand. Didn't he get something like £20m from the Pogba deal?
 
Expectations are that after the CL semifinals this week, the official confirmation of De Ligt to Barcelona will be made - Agresti & Calciomercato reiterating a lot of what other reliable Spanish journalists (Domenech & Polo) have already intimated, citing Overmars communicating this to Paratici & Juve that deal to Barcelona is done
