To be fair, The Mail are only on it because they spend all their day on Bluemoon.

Hello Ladyman, you twat.

Re: Mc Donald Mariga deal done

Pmsl. The Mail article says this:

"Harry Redknapp tried to sign Mariga for Portsmouth from Swedish side Helsingborgs three years ago, but work permit issues scuppered the deal."

So are we going to get the traditional Redknapp, "i wanted him" speech, "he's a triffic player, but City come in and blew everyone out of the water". :)

Re: Parma accept €10m City bid for Kenyan Inter target Mariga

I got excited for a moment there but then saw that the source was goal.com. Absolutely full of shite..

Re: Mc Donald Mariga deal done

He looks like a good player. The fee sounds good value especially if the are taking Boj off our hands as well.

It sounds too good to be true.....so it probably isnt. If Mancini pulled off a deal like this I would be seriously impressed.

Goal.com just picking up on the story. Many other Italian news sources reporting City's signing of Mariga but goal.com is the only one in English.

goal.com aren't the source though are they? They just report news from elsewhere. This story comes from the Italian press as stated in the article. Don't know why people blame goal and tribal etc for the stories when basically all they are doing is passing them on.

The agent of Parma midfielder McDonald Mariga has confirmed that his client will not be leaving the club during the winter transfer window.

"From [this past] summer our contacts have remained the same, but for now my client is only thinking about Parma. He will wait until the end of the season," Patrick Mork explained to FcInter1908.it.

"Nothing is happening right now, he will stay at Parma."

The 22-year-old is touted to be a budding African star and is reportedly of interest to top European clubs such as Inter, Juventus, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Mariga was a major contributor to the club's promotion from Serie B in 2008-09, but has constantly struggled with injury in the current campaign, only making eight appearances in Serie A so far.

Agent said this about a week ago.
