I got excited for a moment there but then saw that the source was goal.com. Absolutely full of shite..

goal.com aren't the source though are they? They just report news from elsewhere. This story comes from the Italian press as stated in the article. Don't know why people blame goal and tribal etc for the stories when basically all they are doing is passing them on.

The agent of Parma midfielder McDonald Mariga has confirmed that his client will not be leaving the club during the winter transfer window.

"From [this past] summer our contacts have remained the same, but for now my client is only thinking about Parma. He will wait until the end of the season," Patrick Mork explained to FcInter1908.it.

"Nothing is happening right now, he will stay at Parma."

The 22-year-old is touted to be a budding African star and is reportedly of interest to top European clubs such as Inter, Juventus, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Mariga was a major contributor to the club's promotion from Serie B in 2008-09, but has constantly struggled with injury in the current campaign, only making eight appearances in Serie A so far.

He's had serious work permit problems in the past which saw him play in Sweden.

'Arry tried to sign him once, but he failed a work permit. So if we DO get him, we'll have another Redknapp "he's a triffic player and i wanted him" speech to look forward to!
