McDonalds struggling

I remember being in Lisbon many years ago. On the lash all day, leathered, starving.

It's late, spot a McDonalds open. Rushed in only to find they had just stopped serving.

Now worries - folk often discard uneaten burgers and fries....off to the bin inside the store we went. It was an endless banquet. The staff were appalled, but we didn't give a fuck. Belly full, back to the accom and head down. No ill-effects next day.

I was in LIsbon last week and the Portuguese have a sausage called linguiça that can be found in Portugal and Brazil, naturally, but I also found out that it's eaten in Hawaii and McDonalds in Hawaii have it on the menu as 'Portuguese sausage'! Ruben 'n Bernardo won't starve if we ever play a game in Honolulu.

Really shit these days. Had the misfortune to be in one earlier in the year while starving and busy out working. Was like being in an Argos but waiting for your number to come up and bring cold food instead of a new strimmer. The staff were falling over themselves to get stuff to the deliveroo drivers who were all gathered menacingly around the counter. Every customer in there was treated like a pest. The burger they brought me was cold and very sorry for itself. Had a refund and wont be going back

Depends on the outlet. Some a lot better than others.

I don't like McDonald's food mostly - even though my local McDonald's is pretty good.

For fast food, my go-to by far and away is Taco del Mar.
Subways is pretty good too - of course some locations are full of fruit flies and lazy workers that I'd avoid like the plague.
Dairy Queen - at least where I live (Seattle suburbs) - is really good.

Their staple customer base has taken a big loss in disposable income, with rent and mortgage rises, cost of living etc, eat-or-heat is a fact of life for a lot of families. No doubt there will be a chorus of demands to close food banks in the msm...

McD's is far better than the sh*t that gets turned out by these one man band chickenshops littered all over Manchester - if you don't like it, don't like it, but you can bet they're scrutinised to death over their food quality by the powers that be! Personally I prefer a Burger King but we haven't had one in Stockport for years and we're not getting a new one in Stockport until next year.
