MCFC Statement: Tevez Withdraws Request (Merged)

still not sure why he wanted to leave his contract hasnt been changed so why the u turn?and he remains captain so alls well that ends well !.now lets go and win tonight .im dreaming of a blue, blue blue blue christmas.

Kudos to everyone at the club for the way they dealt with it.

Still not happy with Carlos but this begins to repair bridges.

Hopefully Kia will be disposed of soon.

TBH I dont think he will loose the armband. At the end of the day he has got us near the top of the league. He backed down withdrew the request and said he is staying. No doubt we will get some nice noises from him in the comming weeks.

We should just draw a line under this now and move on. We are in a good position, to dwell on it really serves no purpose and undos the good work done by the club in this affair.

Full credit to the way the club and owner handled it and credit where credit is due the press as well. They pretty much fell down on our side this time and it really was crucial. Even Graham Taylor at the PFA was on our side in this which given he runs the players union was simply amazing.

Honestly I thought we would get slaughtered for this by the press but comming after Roonpigs similar antics its pretty clear they were not impressed with Tevez or his agent.

So a nice present for city fans, its wound the rag fans up no end as well as they had to resort to death threats to get Pigsy to back down plus a massive bribe in the form of wage increase from the club. His form has fallen off a cliff anyway.

We stood our ground called his bluff and got our own way. The rags just look weak and desperate giving in to a player in poor form they could not afford to loose. The difference we could afford to replace Tevez. They could not afford to replace Rooney or suffer the humiliation of him joining us.

You do wonder if the club have said something along the lines of:

"Carlos, you have the following three options lad:

1) You are going to be part of the best reserve squad in history, for the next 3 years or so, and we have the money, so that's a promise, not a threat....let's see how much money your agents will make out of you at the end of your contact"

2) You can buy your contract out if you want....we invested a lot of dosh in you, and we want it back.

3) Wind your fucking neck in, apologise to the fans and get the fuck on with doing your job. When we win the league, you can go wherever you want"

Thats the difference the rags are broke unless you believe the rag press that Baconface has a 100m warchest. Any other club would have probably granted the request because most clubs cannot afford to stick a player like him in the reserves, we can and that is the difference. Our club has just sent a warning across all the other players at our club you have signed your contract we will determine whether you play (Berts decision) or leave (Clubs decision). Hopefully it will strengthen Berts hand now with all the other stroppy players do what Bert says or sit on the bench or train with the kids.

should still lose the captaincy for me.

sends a clear message to other players who have similar thoughts of messing the club (and supporters...) about in the future...

anyway, bring on tonights game! this weekend has been shite without any football.

Well hes not so get on with it. Like I said why rock the boat we got our own way at the end of the day that should be enough. He will make some nice noises no doubt in the comming weeks.
