This is my City tattoo.

i bet that killed! u got any more?

ive got mcfc on my leg. want the badge, when i find somewhere decent enough ill get it.

Got 3 more but not City tats, although I claim the 3 stars on my hand are from the crest but really I was pissed up on holiday & just fancied 3 stars. I want the old badge but need to find some where thats really good. If the 2 circles are slightly off it will look shit.
Where you gettin the badge, you havin colour? I would like a massive badge covering my back but ive got a big tat on my back already, thats why I fancy the old one instead, maybe on my leg.

There should be a show your City tattoo thread on here.

I have two and would recommend getting one only if you're certain it's the design, size and style you want.

I got my first one when I was 19, XXIII on my right forearm and I'll be honest that didn't hurt. I psyched myself up for the worst pain of my life and I was sat there actually enjoying the sensation. It was nice, pleasurable and I left feeling excited.

The second one I had was a few months back (I'm now 22) and it was "Superbia In Proelio" in between my shoulders (I posted a pic on here) and that was pain like I have never ever experienced. The etching of the tattoo, then the filling in, everything about it hurt, especially when it went directly onto the spine. My god that hurt.

I'm thoroughly pleased with both results and I am thinking of getting "Only God can judge me" on my left forearm, perhaps in a latin scribe or hebrew.

What I am trying to say is make sure you're 100% certain it's what you want. I knew when I got the XXIII tattoo that I wanted a City orientated tattoo, but it took me three years to settle for the design, style and size.

If you're not 100% certain it's what you want then I guarantee you'll regret it at a later date.

I hope I've been helpful and good luck in whatever you choose :)

No worries then.

The needle or needles are moving so fast while the artist is stretching your skin, you will have no concept of seeing the needle go into you.

If you get something hand-poked, then sure... but a tattoo gun is blindingly fast. Bring a friend and shoot the shit with them while it's happening.. that will take your mind off the situation.

As a yank, I can't bring myself to get a City tattoo regardless if I've been a supporter for 5,10, or 20 years. It just seems disrespectful.. BUT if I were to get one I'd sneak "we're not really here" in whatever space left on my sleeve..
Thanks guys, you've both been really helpful. :)

Not keen on pain myself, bit of a wimp when it comes to that sort of thing, but this is one r kid in New Zealand just had done.

Tattoos hurt, no matter where on your body you're going to have it done.
Take all the time you want in choosing what you are going to have inked on your body, permanently.
Go and see various tattoo artists, chat with them, check out their work, don't just go to any old place. Get recommendations from friends.
I took over a year to decide what I was having, and in the end, am glad I did.
(I've got a big 6 x 6 in Morrissey tat on my back).
The pain, is annoying.
Straight lines hurt like fook, colouring in isn't too bad and is a much more pleasant experience.
And when you're done, you'll feel like you've got the worst sunburn ever. I couldn't bloody sit down properly and I had to drive 20 odd miles!

Depending on where you live, I can recommend Ace Kustom Tattoos in Northenden, and I know a few people go to Sacred Art in Chorlton.
Everyone goes on about Louis Molloy, but if you look at his portrait work, it's awful. He can't draw faces at all, the eyes are all wrong.
