What political slant will this group have?
I'd want to know this before deciding to join or not
How about none?! Politics is as bent and useless as you can get. Not one party is worth voting for. No ends or any part of the political scale is worth being a supporter of because where some ideals can be spot on there are fifty that are stupid. This is football, politics has nothing to do with four new songs a season and how many people take their tops of and jump up and down in -3degress temperatures of January.

Many Ultra groups have right wing political leanings. I was just enquiring if this group would be similar

I'm well over 40 and i make plenty of racket when i go. If some clown started telling me when and what to sing i'd do exactly the opposite.
It's a football match, not fuckin x-fuckin-factor

So you sing on your own then? When your in a crowd and everyones singing blue moon you do the opposite? All songs start the same with 1 or a few people starting it off.

I sing on my own all the time. In the car, pub, ground, kitchen table, everywhere.

With 'bluemoon' i do the actions as well. Spontaneity is what i'm on about. I realise that every song has a higgs boson but they take on a life of their own and grow depending on the situation.

Don't these 'ultras' have songmasters who direct the crowd using loud hailers and that.

You don't have to join them. Just see them as a stimulus for the rest of the crowd and others can decide whether they want to join in or sit nearby etc

It's not, and never will be, in the English football fans' mentality to replicate our continental cousins. They pull it off because its what they do, the Italians more than anyone. You might get a few tongue in cheek groups, (Barrow have one), but its not serious like it is in Europe. It's just not what we do.

Give it 12 months and people will be slating them just like they do with the BA guys.

Absolute nail on the head.

Anyone with a megaphone/drum at a match in England just looks a twat

Of it pulls off who cares what a few people say? It would be something to be proud of. TBA only get slagged off because they are not that visibly effective. If they do a good job at improving things for everyone to see people wouldn't dream of criticising them.
