Not usually one for this kind of thing, but I think its pretty clear the city ruin english players narrative came up strong for the haters on Delphs last minute desire to play in a relegation battle over the champions league.

It really is about time we started giving shit back to the media and players.

Let's face it, our reputation with English players is without doubt one of the reasons Delph didn't sign. Add to that the fact the media have made it out like we ruined Milners career and he never got game time.

We should have took Liverpool's lead and publicly hammered Milner for being a greedy bastard. Put everyone straight and told people the real reason why he left. The amount of fans who genuinely believe that he was rotting on the bench is staggering.

The biggest teams in Europe all act like c***s. It's about time we started too.

i think the point @K-Bo was making was that the media have consistently pushed the myth that we ruin English players, despite the fact that we know this to be different, just see your photos

if you peddle the same lies for long enough they eventually become true
the media have been stoking the fires for several years, don't sign for City if you are young, English and want to play
Eventually that seeps into the zeitgeist and then is witnessed when a young England international player turns down the opportunity to play for the most successful club, in the last five years, in the country for fear of not getting games

It's ridiculous. Do Man City have a PR Department? If so what does it do? Has it a softly, softly approach to negative press, keeping quiet? No PR Department at all could achieve that. City consistently get negative press, where's the backlash for these journalists?

Agenda, media bias, as Ric likes to call it, it's all the same their comments designed to fuck us over as a club. The news papers are having a field day with the Delph non signing. An excellent result some of them say. Sterling should do the same as Delph others say. Sick and fucking tired of it, City should come out fighting now.

Quite honestly, the club's 'official' 'don't rise to the bait' line is palpably NOT WORKING..
