Media bias against City

They can't use the money as a stick to beat us with because everyone is spending big these days and when the likes of; Lopes, Pozo, Garcia, Angelino, Maffeo break into the 1st team they won't be able to use the "City don't promote youth" line anymore.

I think supporters of other clubs, in particular, are going to be shocked at the make up of our first team and squad in two or three years.

Sky showing Sterling's slip at all angles in super slow motion...

It's not like Ronaldo, Aguero and the very best have ever slipped on a football pitch...

I think you are right GDM, I suppose as City supporters we are seeing the development of the hopefully ever changing (for the better) City team but the diet of a skewed media and only a passing interest in City gives other team supporters very little chance to witness this.

What a combination, a productive Academy, a young player purchase policy and a willingness to bid for world class players being portrayed as wasteful purchases and an Academy that needs decent young players.

If there are still any doubters as to an agenda or media bias, does anyone get the daily talk sport e mail with the click on headlines? Normally all United with some Liverpool or Arsenal thrown in and perhaps one with a negative spin on City. Today's is a classic. Empty seats in Melbourne compared to the sell out when Liverpool played a friendly there in 2013 and a 'what must Sterling be thinking' type angle.

They really are hurting badly. you should see the scouse tweets in response to the article. Why are such a large group of people United fans and particularly Liverpool fans so needy? It is laughable, absolutely laughable.

The 'need' to belong to the biggest group and see it as such a badge of honour is such an incredible sign of individual weakness. The media are simply preying on the gullible masses. Will we be the same in 20 years?

It's why people chose to be rags when they were winning things all the time. Same with Liverpool before them. They're lives were empty and had no discernable qualities or endearing aspects to their lives. They could say that they support a team of winners, therefore making them believe that makes them winners too.
