Media bias against City

I am not too upset by BBC predictions BUT you have to ask why the bookies (no bias) have us down as second favourites at 5/2 and united down at 5/1 and think we are twice as likely to win title as United. The pundits have us down as fourth and United second. Only conclusion is that pundits base views on more than just facts and likely outcomes. That can only be described as a collective bias.

I presume this thread has taken over from the agenda thread. I personally don't believe that there is an agenda but I presume everyone else is noticing a big step up in the level of anti-City bias and hatred. This is music to my ears as it tells me of the level of bitterness and jealousy there is. Clearly the penny has dropped with many of these rag and dipper (including, to their shame, James and Hamman) biased has-beens that FFP is no longer the saviour of the City haters. James used to like to portray himself as the erudite, modern art collecting, cut-above footballer. Any illusion that he had any respectable degree of judgement went when he declared himself bankrupt. His opinions are as valueless as a Greek bank bond. He is now whoring himself to all and sundry for whatever they want him to say.

I wonder if he would react the same way that Stan the wife beater did when City fans let him know at the ground what they thought of him after one particularly over the top piece of anti-City bias. If people are bothered by all of this crap that gets churned out daily then they should make it difficult in any way they can for the pundits, papers, TV companies or radio stations. But not me... as I have said above, bring it on. Let them dehydrate themsleves with their lacrymose bitterness.

The bookies are probably unaware that bale and tranny are joining the rags and that Stirling has suddenly become crap because he left Liverpool. Also the amount we paid for him means he is no longer any good (lol)

Usually no connection between the two because one reflects the dreams and hopes of supporters who are likely to buy a paper or subscription whereas the other bases its odds on where money has been placed which for most people is where hopes and dreams are replaced by a sense of reality.

DiDi Hamman is about to review our season on talksport if anyone fancies a giggle? lets see how negative he can be?

missed it, nevermind.

Sky transfer centre has our current spend at 72m? Any ideas on how they get that figure?
Pretty simple, they just add up all the largest figures any newspaper has quoted our signings at, ignoring which parts are add ons and which figures are complete bullshit, then add 10%.

No idea why United are being tipped so widely.

They've lost Falcao, Di Maria and Van Persie and replaced them with Depay, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin.

They have one senior striker in Rooney.

They have a defence consisting of Smalling, Shaw, Darmian and Jones. Hardly a title winning defence is it?

The best player they have wants out to Madrid.

All that considered, I expect them to be 4th again. They only got 4th last year because in December/January they had a string of extremely fortunate results where De Gea did worldy saves, they kept doing goal line clearances and kept getting penalties to win 1-0.
