Media bias against City

Cheers ric. A rare, controversial article going against the grain. in spite of this I'm not looking forward to reading about how right pep is for arse, Chelsea, rags and how wrong he is for us for the next six months...

In my opinion the rumours need to be put to bed - it's not healthy for any of the clubs he's been linked with. Can you imagine the disappointment within the club and also the fans if we don't get him

If pep was announced today wouldn't stop the gutter press writing articles it will be "why pep was wrong to go to city" or "Pep chose the Wrong Club" or "Pep dropped a Clanger"

All above will be written if we lose a couple of games under him! Media are full of Bitter fuckers.

"Disgusting disgraceful money-obsessed nouveau riche upstarts have treated their universally respected incumbent appallingly" etc etc

Just reading an article on yahoo about sides being top at Christmas and imploding in the New Year. Last example was the rags in 2003/04. Notice the teams who beat them. Another dig. Can't help themselves can they. Drip..........drip...........drip..............drip................

7) Manchester United, 2003/04

While Arsenal were still unbeaten in 2003/04, it was Manchester United who led the way on Christmas Day after winning 13 of their first 17 matches.

After Christmas, however, Arsenal went into overdrive, eventually winning the title by finishing 12 points ahead of Chelsea, with United a further three points back in third after particularly bad defeats to Wolves, Middlesbrough, Manchester City (pre-money), Portsmouth and Blackburn. Oh, Arsenal didn’t lose in the second half of the season either.

Ogden at his revisionist worst again.
The fact that he's backing Arsenal as the logical destination ignores one vital fact-they have no vacancy for a manager and are not likely to for another 3 or 4 years.

Absolutely spot on

A typical journalists sensationalist non story

Don't waste time on it

Wenger is going no where

Not sure "bias" comes into it as I've never read this magazine before but

Maybe it's that I've been up since 3 o'clock, maybe it's the fact that my coach smells like urine, maybe it's because I've still got Christmas presents to buy, maybe my missus' being from Hong Kong has affected my views on mainland China or maybe it's just that I'm a delicate flower but this magazine cover rubbed me up the wrong way.

I don't like the implication of the heading. Mainly because it seems to have been made by that older guy who has the mental age of a fucking carrot and still goes on about communism and Muslims based on what a couple of his more sexually successful mates said 20 years ago.

Anyway, I went for FourFourTwo as the magazine has Tevez, Riquelme and Maradonna on the cover. I'd much rather read an in depth article on Boca Juniors and South American football than any British publication about us.

WSC is an independent football magazine which doesn't do glossy puff pieces for anybody (442 is a better bet for that!). The cover always has speech balloons and is always fairly cutting. It's standard line is "football for the people" and isn't a fan of the monetarisation of the PL.

Really, if you're going to get upset by a WSC cover, then there's no hope for you!

Well I did say I hadn't read it before and that it might not be anything to do with bias but I stand by what I said.

The reason why I avoided it is because I'm sick of hearing people woman about money when they should either deal with it or go follow a Sunday league team.

Any mention of money and I'm giving it a swerve, especially when they're asking for a fiver for something that looks like it was designed by a twelve year old. At least 442 has interviews with players I grew up loving and information on football outside the "big" European leagues.

Edit: also "for the people" is something I'd usually give a miss. Brings to mind Tommy Robinson, Volkswagons and channel 4.

Anyway, onto more important things. I've updated my list of BBC Gossip Column stories. This is me adding up the number of stories that the BBC decide to mention in that column related to the Filth, Arse, Chelsea, Liverpool and us. Anyway, I've been keeping score since 1 Nov (yes, I know how sad it is). Here are the scores as at today (Chelsea are only close to the Rags due to Mourinho's sacking):

Rags - 216
Chelsea - 201
Liverpool - 121
Arsenal - 118
City - 87

We really are shite!

Local BBC skipped off to Alder Hey last night and we saw Leighton Baines going round a toy store with some young lad who had decided he wanted to repay the hospitalfor the time he had spent there (Well done, son). Roger 'SixFingers' Johnson (he is from Sjoke, I think) then said that in the interests of 'balance' we have got some Reds, so up pops Lalana, minus tub of Nivea, and Lucas. Fine, in the interests of balance! Great idea! We were also treated to a few moments of Stevie Starfish - I think he's one of the hospitals patrons - and then the next thing I see is some lad spread on a bed, get well soon, kid, clad in Rag shirt. I turned to Mrs Ewing and said "Wait for the City kid next"! I might have missed it as I turned to speak to her. Did the City kid get on?

You're clearly unaware that City have no fans. I thought everybody knew that.
