I don’t agree with that. With Rashford there was no argument. The ball was within playing distance and was under his control in the same way it is when a defender used his body to shepherd a ball out of play for a goal kick.

With Akanje, there are three players directly between Leno and the ball - Rodri (who was in an onside position) and two defenders. Leno’s hesitation can be attributed to a number of things, for instance thinking the ball was going wide (a la De Gea in the cup final) Or just having his vision blocked. The referee decided that Alanji was not interfering with play and the interesting thing about Webb’s program is that the audio feed suggests the VAR team were split. Since VAR is there to correct clear and obvious errors, which this wasn’t, I don’t see how the goal could be overruled within the laws of the game.

Both gave rise to a question of offside.
Rashfords should have been overruled because Attwell’s error was clear and obvious. Oliver’s wasn’t.

Akanji was offside and we all know it. Mental gymnastics can prove anything. But on the face of it both that and rashford was offside and PGMOL royally fucked up on them both.

BBC know exactly what they are doing, could have led with Onana decision but nope Ake.

Webbs show is just PR propaganda shit.
Onana one was easy as they already apologised for the error and easy ones with VVD sending off, Rags rightly offside goal but why not ( we all know why) :

Salah doing exactly the same as Akanji. The difference in the 2 identical situations shows the total bias in PGMOL and the Media with one almost being National News and othet not mentioned.

Dippers 2 penalty decisions, both wrong, v Bournemouth.

The foul In the build up to Arsenals 2nd v Fulham
And i am sure there are much more.

Until they make all audio from all games available, it will remain bent and these shows are pointless when they choose the narrative and select only what they want to select

Yes he was offside but wasn't interfering with play, that's according to the actual rules (whether you like them or not), so it was a good goal. I have no idea why you keep trying to prove otherwise or why you keep bringing up Rashford's goal which was entirely different and very obviously interfering with play.

Having been at Middlesboro when tiatto picked up the ball at left back, ran 70 yards and smashed it into the corner of the net, only for it to be disallowed because Huckerbee was stood offside no where near the action, I wholeheartedly disagree!!
