There's lag no matter how you watch "live" but good luck in trying that argument with a judge.
This is very true. I was video chatting to a mate of mine that lives out in Thailand once, City were playing on Sky.

He was watching it as well and suddenly said "oh, City have scored!"
"No they haven't!"
"They have, look!"

Faced the camera to his TV, took about 15 seconds after that for City to score on my telly, and he was 6000 miles away!

Agreed. There's definitely lag. There's been plenty of times when I've been watching a game while simultaneously following it on here, and there's been posts about a goal having been scored. And it's over a minute later before I actually see it.

I'm not sure how it works tbh
Me neither but surely two clubs with the same ownership wouldn't be allowed. If all things were equal then one club would have to be pulled to avoid match fixing allegations and which club would that be? Surely not the one most likely to win the damned thing? And then, what about the club that missed on qualification only to see the club that pipped them have to be pulled. Another headache for our dear friends at UEFA to adjudicate over.

UEFA have already had to deal with it. Villa, Brighton and Milan are all part of groups with more than one club in European competition this season.

Well I'm glad someone has been keen enough to research that. No doubt there will be a team of Bluemooners watching how UEFA try to fiddle their way out of this to satisfy their own interpretations.
