As old sayings go arse and elbow spring to lightIf Sam Lee doesnt understand why people are having a go about the Dias piece he doesnt understand football let alone City.

Not the many Blues I know, we were very confident of a win at CAS.Yes he did get it wrong, but I think deep down many blues probably thought we might lose at CAS.
As I wrote previously not sure football in finances is his specialism and so it was probably unfair to put him in that position. Being wrong though is a big difference from being biased, which seems to get levelled at him.
If it looks like an nonce...
Sorry mate, but he’s a wankstain.Sam takes far too much unfair criticism. He's probably one of the best City writers around. There are a plethora of awful writers who have a go at City openly or indirectly, but he really isn't one of them.
The worst thing you can say about him is the company he so readily keeps On his Whstsapp group. Fuck him.The worst thing you can say about him is there are quite literally dozens of worse journalists to read or listen to as a Manchester City fan.
He called him David Silva at one pointI thought it amusing that on 3 occasions the commentator referred to Bernardo as David. Then at one point that numpty Warnock said Jesus should have crossed it to "Bruno"
As a club, absolutely.I do think we need to pick our battles.
A player rating isn’t where we should be going after journalists.
The underlying racism towards our Arab owners is a decent place to attack the press, not because someone gave Dias a B+ in their ratings list ffs.
He's a ragMy opinion of Sam Lee is pretty simple, he spends a lot of time with dyed in the wool blues like @BillyShears, Mooney, Lloyd, Howard etc. on various podcasts and none of them have a bad word to say about him, and all of them want to keep working with him. In fact I'm yet to hear anyone who has actually met him or spoken to him outside social media have a bad word to say.
As a reporter, his long form Foden and Aguero pieces have been probably the best pieces of Manchester City journalism I've read int he past 5 years.
He's not Delaney, he's not Alyson Rudd, he's not even Jamie Jackson. The worst thing you can say about him is there are quite literally dozens of worse journalists to read or listen to as a Manchester City fan.
Tbf despite the goofs with the players' names I found the BBC commentary far better than the usual list of transfer fees and wages from Ian Darke. I didn't hear them mention money once.I thought it amusing that on 3 occasions the commentator referred to Bernardo as David. Then at one point that numpty Warnock said Jesus should have crossed it to "Bruno"
Best CB in the prem so farIt’s like they’ve not watched our team before Dias came and after.
I let my subscription lapse with the Athletic in December. The majority of the written articles are puff pieces in the PL. Sam Lee has definitely lost his edge there too. He used to get exclusive stuff before but now anything worthwhile reading on City is from their A list writers... which is quarterly, and with CAS where it had a bit of Sam proved to be poorly researched and sourced.
FWIW, Dias has been an A+ for impact on our team. Impact on the team signed for with any signing is about the best metric you can use because that’s why any club signs a player... to make an impact in their team. In our team we had the key stone cops running around in our back line before Dias rocked up. Now we look like Fort Knox. Dias thus far has been A+.
doobie dobbie dooI suppose he would say "I did it my way"
Oh peerrrlease don't tell me it was that 80M slabhead ?Who did they give an A to?
Wasn’t Man United’s £80m midfielder Von Der Shit was it?
Agreed , a red bastard and a cattle ruffler too, so I’ve been told ;-)Rustle a few feathers no fuck off you red bastard
To be fair Vinnie started out at defensive mid and the team was a lot inferior to this team. Agree with you regarding Dias influence but up until recently we've played with two DM's. Which is a luxury that Laporte didn't get. Stones and has really benefitted from playing alongside him. Also there seems to have been a lot less exposure for whoever has played LB.Dias has had the biggest impact of any defensive player I have seen in 50 years. He transformed the City team from his first match. Much more impact than Vinny in his first six months. Dias was captain of Benfica at 21 and is one of the most influential players in Portugal's brilliant team.
With regard to being treated with respect I think the phrase is pissing in the wind?I don't want to target people in general because frankly it's tiring. I just want Manchester City football club to be praised when it gets things right.
History is dictated by the winners. And over the last decade Manchester City are the winners. I want us to be treated with the respect that we deserve but ultimately football is so tribalistic that everyone pusbes their own agendas. Tom Worville wrote some shits tweets about us but his recent articles shows he's biased. I don't like United - but if I had to write articles on them I'd be very fair and considered and also wouldn't write tweets pisstaking when employed by a website that relies on supporters subscribing.
Said that plenty during the 80's and 90'sWhat does the bundesliga tweet mean?
Is this tweet real (someone posted a link to it on twitter but its either been deleted or it wasn't a legit tweet)?

Just a shame about the voice. Like listening to the Mrs when I've left the seat upI agree. She just called the game in a fair balanced way. She had a better understanding of tactics than Steven Warnock whose response to everything seemed to be: "Birmingham need to be more aggressive." It was a shock to have a totally unbiased commentary.
