Section on Raheem on BBC Breakfast. Going big on his Wembley connection and his help and investments in the community. Quite nice to be fair, probably because John Mcguire is reporting - ‘Silly Sally’ is at Wimbledon.
Although no mention of his improvement under Pep - apparently it was all down to the coaches at QPR. Who’d a thunk it? Thankfully no mention of his time with the Scouse though

Thought she was good. Spoke about the change in tactics and why Spain did it, even talked about expected goals and assists. Better than the rubbish some other commentators come up with.

She could talk a little less but that comes with experience.
You would like to think so but Murphy, Jenas, Dixon, to name just three, all ramble on far too long, ignoring much of the on-field action. They are supposed to stop yakking during important passages of play.
Ally McCoist is very good at keeping his comments brief and relevant. I forget which game it was, but after the commentator had droned on for several minutes about some irrelevant stat', McCoist, subtly, pointed out a dangerous goalmouth incident, missed or ignored in commentary.

Any mention of Jordon Ibe being a better player?

Commentators generally have far too much to say. Tyldesley is one of the worst, Motson was just about the moat verbose. Listening to those two, my ears are sore after being bombarded with facts and stats, mostly irrelevant, which have been swotted up before the game and churned out irrespective of their significance.
I used to like Barry Davies. He knew when to stay silent.

Agree. The commentators now talk incessantly, on top of which Tyldesley thinks he is funny, which he most certainly isn’t. I quite like Ally McCoist, but Hayes, Dixon and Murphy all do my head in

Spot on about Barry Davies. Yet the bantz generation reminisce more fondly over Motson because he incessantly quoted nonsense stats and wore a sheepskin coat
