It’s fucking crazy! basic maths says if the dipper end was full but thousands of fans with genuine tickets were outside then thousands of the feral twats got in with fakes/duplicate tickets or jibbing.

It's not like they have any history for that kind of shit :)

It not often the Radio Times makes it onto this thread, but shout out to Stewart Tray for his letter in the new edition: "In 2020 the BBC showed a wonderful documentary 'Liverpool FC: the 30 year wait', about the club's first (and so far only) Premier League title. I eagerly await 'Four from Five', a similar docaboit Pep Guardiola and Manchester City's four Premier League titles in 5 years. I'm not holding my breath".
Also noticed another Channel 5 documentary next Saturday about Alex Ferguson, to add to the other trillion Man United documentaries!

Just wait until the Govan Bully finally leaves this earth !

Talksport have a Rags special on tonight, live from London and also outside OT. Not sure what the underlying reason for it it is tbh as I only listened in passing. There were lots of old sound bites of past successes and future hopes. Can't recall them ever having even a 10 minute conversation about us without rags or dippers (or us buying success) being mentioned, let alone a whole evening dedicated to us.

No big deal this time but it could have been very serious… again. The main reason for that is ticketless fans turning up, egged on by people who should know better. Now they won’t take responsibility for it and expect everyone else to toe the party line.
Of course. I left that out as it didnt happen, along with all the things that are said not to have happened but l saw for myself in their bloody pictures!
My point about is if l look at it again from a distance it's much ado about nothing.

So this is the same bloke who sang UEFAs praises when they were pursuing a vendetta against City on behalf of the cartel, what a twat.

"Rush to instant judgment....instead of waiting for the facts was shocking from those responsible"

Dave clearly doesn't do irony.

Even if those damned Frenchies were to blame what was the major disaster that occurred?

Some people with tickets didn't see the match
Some people got minor injuries from the police.
Some people got a whiff of gas which is unpleasant for children and old people. By its nature it swirls with the wind and can be carried on the wind for significant distance.
The French police wre caught out by the extra fans and wereThe match kicked off late.
TV timetables went awry but they would if there had been extra time.
Liverpool were unhappy after getting beaten.

I don't think there was much else but l think the last one has been the driving force in this debacle and all the rest isn't really a big deal.
Don't forget their 'special medicine' started to wear off before they'd even kicked a ball because the kick off was delayed.

The analogies with rock and roll go further than just football style when it comes to the scousers. The whole ethos of the club is like a really bad rock and roll band on tour, turn up, cause a load of trouble, trash the place, clear off and don't take any responsibility for what they've done. Then the English media accept it and paint it out as a positive attribute when in fact it's it's a disgrace, they are a disgrace
This is Spinal Tap

What I cannot comprehend is why the Daily Mail is so pro Liverpool. All the writers this morning buying into its the frenchies fault even Martin Samuel who is the main reason I buy the rag. The paper hates everything about Liverpool the City being anti brexit, anti Tory and anti monarchy. And yet it has a love in with the football club ignoring the insult to the national anthem and the Royal family at the cup final. The Daily Express which is still more right wing is the same. I am at complete loss to understand this anyone have any explanation.
They just hate the French more

People do like to attend a city for the occasion and the atmosphere. We generally book a City Break for the weekend of the CL final so that if City get there we will not be paying through the nose for flights and hotels. So far we have been to Milan, Kiev, Madrid, and Paris. If City had got to a final we would go to it. Otherwise we had a city break. We didn’t bother with the Lisbon and Porto finals during lockdown.

Plenty of others go for the final and watch on TV. We shared a table in the bar with two Liverpool supporters in Kiev, one local the other from Indonesia. We bumped into Leicester supporters in Milan and others over the years.
Did you go to the ground and try to jib in?

In spite of the problems at this years final, Klopp couldn't help himself, even immediately after the game telling their fans to book hotels for next year's final. Putting aside how arrogant and disrespectful that is to every other team taking part in next season's competition, it's wreckless at best. He played a part in encouraging ticketless fans to travel to the final this and he deserves to be criticised for that.
Fake bravado. The mask slips over and over again but the reporters won’t challenge him. We all joke but it’s no wonder he has been spouting shit bout city year after year. He says what they all want to write. Very dishonest interviewing going on in England.

Klopp initiated the stampede in Paris. He deserves to be included in any blame. The fans should not have put the police in a difficult situation arriving on mass with no ticket.

The victims always play this card. Those that had to react to the situation are not to blame.

This is what happens when you pander to a certain audience to generate income. Same happens to the rags. Still no punishment for Gary stoking up a riot and cancelling a match. Both clubs are best pals off the pitch. The rivalry is a money generator. Slightly off topic.

My 89 year old Blackpool supporting Dad had Sky Sports News on tonight, we were having tea with him, he’s not very mobile but he made the effort to go into his Living room and turn the TV over. He said (paraphrase):

“I’m bloody sick of it, it’s all about their fans never being the problem, every time they are at fault all the media defend them, bloody ridiculous”

He then went on to say we never hear much about the Hysel, Ibrox Park, Burden Park or the Bradford City victims but “this lot” make sure everyone knows it’s never their fault when they cause trouble.
