He's saying we've been targeted by the other clubs. What's wrong with that? We have..

“We knew the Etihad-City deal was big at the time. So many other deals have happened in the meantime. Other clubs are asking, is this right?

“But we’re looking at this retrospectively in light of new rules, and it is always difficult to make that retrospective fit work.

“Newcastle are probably now worried that they are going to get tarred with the same brush as City because of their wealth.

“But we have previous to go off now and we know what rival clubs don’t want is a repeat of the City situation, i.e another challenge at the top of the table.”
Is this yet another story where the click-bait title doesn’t match the article?

That’s funny because….

As per a new interview by the Athletic's George Caulkin, Newcastle United director Amanda Staveley and co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi have revealed their experience of a recent visit to Manchester City’s state-of-the-art training facilities.

Just talk to them and see their training facilities, to see what we can do”, Staveley revealed as the objective of the visit.

You’d think a clever man like Dan would stay well clear of the ‘Footballer Insider’(arf!) and it’s tittle-tattle article.

Footballer Insider is the problem me thinks.... :)

We’ve just seen a cup final won because an onside looking goal was disallowed. It’s not surprising, then, that the BBC has a prominent story about a recent refereeing controversy on its website site… but what is mind-boggling is that it’s picked a story about our game to stir things up.
