Yes but the commentators talked over it
So they weren't standing up with their hands on hearts like they do for Nettie Fowlers song from Carousel?;)
Had to listen to R5 commentary last night which was as dull at Atletico's play in the first leg. Every so often they switched to Anfield where the commentators were far more upbeat even as they reported a Benfica goal.
But towards the end of the match one twunt on the CITY match said 'soon the whistle will.blow and Anfield will rise, flags and scarves aloft as they sing 'you'll never walk alone'.
FFS!!

No bitterness from Mitten for once. Just a normal, short, match report.

The National is exactly that. The national paper of AbuDhabi.
Don’t think it wise to be anti City in that organ.

Marca. (bitter c*nts!)

"Sportswashing" at its finest. Only employ journalists who have been positive about City throughout their careers. Oh, wait a minute ......

Listening to that I’m wondering if we watched the same match, seems to very much understate their shitpot antics .
Seems to be the same in a lot of the media, instead arguing that madrid lost a good chance of winning the game when they had City on the ropes. If that had been Liverpool here tonight the media would be in outraged overdrive and the idiot last night on bt passing off the assault on Foden as the ref wanting to keep the game flowing must have his observation go down as the most moronic comment ever uttered at any live sports event. We were targeted on Sunday and again last night, with officials and var ignoring the physical intimidation regularly aimed at City players and we will receive more of the same at Wembley.

From the bbc article ('in big trouble')
Diego Simeone's side were also extremely physical, allowing this to spill over into ill-discipline late on, with Felipe seeing red for a dangerous follow-through on Phil Foden, having earned his first yellow card for an elbow to the same player that drew blood.
Errm, no - no booking for that attack! And, btw, shouldn't var have been reviewing that for a straight red?

And under a pic of Phil getting attention...
Foden needed patching up early in the game after receiving a stray arm to the back of the head from Felipe
'Stray arm'? My fuckin arse, a deliberate vicious and cowardly assault.
