Couldn't work out how the media saw the assault by Dallas on Grealish as a 50/50 tackle and we've seen the result of teams taking the advice of pundits to 'get stuck in', when they play us. Had anyone ever heard them giving the same advice to teams playing Liverpool?
Heard it so many times from pundits over recent years. All but saying others need to twat our players.
Of course wrapped in 'bantz' and supposedly tongue in cheek.
But several have happily obliged literally ...

Did MOTD show the Mané incident? I don't remember seeing it.

My word, that guy has to hold the record for the most red cards escaped. There was one against Everton just the other week that he should have had and there was the elbow in the 2-2 game against Chelsea in January.

He's becoming the most irritating player in the PL for me. He dives and flops around like a fish out of water trying to get other players booked and on the other side of it, he gets away with whatever he likes.

edit: The league cup incident was Keita, I misremembered that.

Mane is a horrible ****,he reminds me of that other horrible **** from a few years back....Hadji Diouf.

Do we have a big game any time soon?

Numerous reports in the media about foreign clubs targeting our players. They will try many underhand tricks to try to unsettle the team. Cannot recall similar tactics about the scousers or the rags. Wait a moment though --- the rags, who wants any of those lazy buggars?

Always interesting looking and comparing highlights of Liverpool’s YouTube views to ours after 11 hours ours have 866k where as Liverpool’s have 988k after 12 hours!

This proves our following interest has gone up around the world.

Or comments on the BBC articles. We are up there with United and Liverpool. Granted, some are other fans, but that's not the point. City coverage generates clicks these days, even when positive. The coverage will change ....

Both are from the same country of Senegal, along with ex Everton player Idressa Geuye who was also a dirty fouling twat, but Papisse Cisse was a lovely player also Senegalese, who scored that wonder goal for Newcastle at Stamford Bridge that won him goal of the season.

I just listened to the Football Writers podcast & the mental gymnastics involved to justify their opinions were incredible. Basically a big contradiction.

Now the Title is fairly justified “ is the curse of the champions league about to strike Manchester City again” us City fans know better than anyone not to get our hopes up. We may well have left ourselves open by not taking our chances so I have no problem with that. It’s interesting that at no point did the way we handled a 1 goal lead in Madrid a month ago never came up.
My issue was when describing us, they admitted the problem was we aren’t romantic, we aren’t Liverpool or United, we are this clinical machine & they like a team with Liverpool like flaws. So onto the predictions Madrid likely to go through as City aren’t clinical like Liverpool & we still look flawed at the back.

Now here’s a headline for your next show…..

“Is the curse of the premier league about to strike Liverpool again.”

When they have seen the fabulous players that have graced the City team over the last decade and then compare them to some of the outright donkeys at the red top clubs during the same period, then I would rather not know their views on romance.

Those 2 clubs are just corporate machines with very adept marketing departments - about as much romance as McDonalds or KFC
