Before Covid got in the way, City appointed agents to find alternative shirt sponsors. The idea seemed to be to split the shirt off but keep the stadium name. City believe the Etihad sponsorship is below market rates, but I guess Etihad can't afford to increase it. The Etihad contract came to an end in June. Have we renewed for a year?
From the small amount on the web, says City have renewed for this season and maybe beyond. Very vague. I think it would be universally welcomed by City fans if we could find a new shirt sponsor.

It’s strange that despite the money sloshing around in the PL and all the exposure brands would get, why we haven’t been able to tempt a corporate behemoth like Coca Cola, Amazon or Apple to sponsor us. That would surely propel our income closer to the rags, if not beyond, and give us more to spend on a Norwegian striker, for example. Why aren’t our business people aiming this high regarding shirt sponsorship?

i would guess it’s quite a difficult job, it needs to give the new sponsor something they need. So would an everyday brand like Coca Cola increase their sales? Maybe not, in fact the bitter red bastards x 2 would probably stop drinking it! Then there’s the appropriate bit, whilst betting companies are plastered all over clubs shirts would we want the same? Probably not, it’s a tricky balance. Now our mates in Liverpool have a huge sponsorship with Standard Chartered, this is a good partnership for both, most people don’t know of the money laundering and huge fines SC have received for illegal dealings with Iran for example, it also sportswashes the SC brand. For the dippers it’s a fairly benign sponsor “just a bank”. Maybe we get Saudi Telecom to sponsor us like they have been doing on the quiet with the rags for over a decade.

Perhaps we should reconsider our attitude to the fine publication that is The Guardian. Clearly we don't recognise it is on our side for all matters human rights and ownership. Well, according to our friends from RAWK :)

Great day to be a City fan.......sure we are going to lose games and the mood will change ( for one match at least) but I feel that all the investment in our Academy is about to come to fruition.

We have some real diamonds with Phil, Palmer and McAtee and more to follow.

Hopefully we only have to maybe make one big signing a season ( similar to Liverpool in the 70's) and the talent that are currently are learning from the best will slowly supplement the rest.

Gundo and Kev are in their 30's now......but we have already got their succession in place.

It's great when a plan comes together.

Nobody willing to commit during covid. Whole world may need to settle down before large international brand makes a move. I take City's vagueness on the subject to be a reflection of this uncertainty.

I don't know why it get's to many of you lot on here, it's the same story every single week.
Liverpool sell news, hence why we're not as high on the media pages.
It would have been the same if we were playing tonight and had of won and united won or lost it's that simple.
Yes there is always a slight negative slant on our stories because largely who ever writes them won't have our best interests and they know that, which is also why they get more clicks and people talking from our side.
It's the same when we loose comments boards get opened up everywhere for people to see, but if we win comments boards are closed off to a select few straight away and that's when everyone wants to have their say or see what people are saying. It's to make it look like nobody cares. It's manipulation and control at it's finest and that's what the media do best.
Keeping the world spinning around and it won't ever stop.
We're all guilty of it somewhere on some level falling for it.
Bastards the lot of them.
They can also tell as many lies as they want about us without any fear of action by ourselves. As you say they can easily control any comments which try to show the truth.
Damages and costs from a good libel case could soon whittle down some of the revenue gained by clickbait.

That is quite literally one of the most insane things I have ever read, on here or anywhere else
