Could just as easily refer to Bluemoon.

This place is just the same as any other online platform. Anonymity gives dickheads the confidence to say things they wouldn’t dream of saying in real life.

Take all online interactions with a pinch of salt be it of a friendly or “attack pack” (nice phrase) nature. None of it is real.
Very true and I’m very much aware of what Bluemoon can be like. That’s why I say it’s difficult. I feel like I have to be on LinkedIn for work, that’s another swamp. YouTube counts as social media I guess. But that’s it for me and it’s sometimes too much.

I sometimes long for the days when I grew up in the 80’s. You had to converse with someone to find out they were a dickhead. The birth of the internet and social media has given every dickhead a platform. Worse still, they think their opinion matters. At least I don’t labour under that illusion.

The day might come when your opinion does matter. Similar to China where your social media “opinion” contributes to your ability to travel or buy food. Hopefully I’ll be long dead by then. I would say I pity my daughter, but as she’s an active member of Momentum she’ll be monitoring your opinions and scoring them.

Good post. You have to be able to step away from the negativity. I dip in and out depending on how results are going. I don’t need talksport, sky, bt or any other **** tell me when city have played poorly. I also refuse to read anything derogatory written or spoken about the club by corporations who have a vested interest in our social media demise.

Trust your own judgment and as you said make decisions that will have a positive impact on your own mental health.

Know when to turn the shit off!

Completely agree with this. I find that any negativity about City I actually take personally (wrongly I know but can’t help it). That just makes me really angry and can translate to my persona in real life. So I don’t read any of it or watch any highlights if we lose.

No way could I have Twitter, I won’t suffer dickhead opinions so I’d be banned within days anyway, but life is too short to waste reading the poorly spelled and stupid opinions of arseholes, whether it’s about football, politics or anything else.

Having Aspergers it is much better for me to live in our bubble.

Great post, I am thankful social media, Talk Sport et al were not around when we were dire, like you I would have taken any criticism of my club very badly. Now I treat praise and criticism the same I just ignore it because the media in this country lie to build you up and then knock you down.

The Guardian is a left Arab/Muslim hating rag, stop reading it and stop supporting it if you disagree with their views.

Don't waste your time trying to change their views, they never will.

We know the UK media have issues with us and we know the reasons why, we don't need you or some leftie loving anti Muslim media reminding us ever 10 minutes and you feeding their vile rants.
I am not trying to change their views, I am trying to change City fans habits. I don't want anyone to comment in it.

Talk sport's Alex Crook has called Levy out this morning, saying he should have sold Kane and reinvested. I doubt many can argue that now. In saying that though, Levy would have wanted it to go down to the 11 hour so he wouldn't have to reinvest any of his new found wealth.

Funny how they werent saying that a month or so ago when spurs won against City. Levy was painted as a master of negotiation and what a huge win it was for Spurs against big bad City. Roll on a month and its clear for everyone to see that its played out like most of us said it would. Spurs are a shambles and it all sits squarely on Levys doorstep.

I’m exactly the same as you in this regard, sometimes I have to remind myself how lucky I am to be a blue and living in the moment of our golden generation.

Bitterness stems from jealousy so it’s clear and obvious we’re doing it right as a club.

Seeing how Kane had been playing recently I don’t think you will see the same player again.
I have a feeling not getting his move has really eaten him.

Who did you used to post as?

It's funny how the narrative is changing regarding Kane. Is Levy briefing to hope we come back in for him?

"Spurs were doing ok before Kane's return" etc.

How the bbc seen the Chelsea game….

“Gabriel Jesus settled a tight affair with his 53rd-minute effort.”
Was just going to post that very same sentence,

Live reporting from Dipper and Rag Deepak Mahay and Elizabeth Hudson

He really looks as though he’s taken his bat and ball home with him. I bet Kane is cursing his agent for that 6 year deal.

Im listening to TalkShite for the first time in years. Iv heard them discuss the North London Derby, united villa, and now Liverpool Brentford. Not a mention of the Champions league final replay yet, unless I have missed it?
