Haven’t seen one mention in the media about Liverpool beating depleted city. Which would have been all we would be hearing this this morning had it been the other way around. Also if we were clinging on at the end like they were but still won it would have been spun as some moral victory for themHave Liverpool struck a psychological blow? asks the bbc in its lead story
It was their first win in over 3 years against us….we’ve beat em 4-0 and 1-4 in the past 2 years and outplayed them in both 2-2s this year.
He can attack us as much as he likes, I wasn't aware the Star was still being published and I doubt that many still read it.Read Jeremy Cross in the Star and he has done a proper hatchet job on us , really disgusting match report and dig at our club and supporters , but dont worry he will be welcomed with open arms , fed & watered for the Brighton game. Personally i wouldnt let the **** in the car park , agreed we didnt play well , but his attack on our club in general only makes him look like a bitter little man , i wont supply any link he will have enough clicks from Dippers & Rags.
I see the echo has picked up the Jack Grealish story where he claims they would have beaten Liverpool if they could have got that last gasp equaliser, he's right as well, even if it is ifs and buts. Liverpool were far better in the first half, but the media claiming a magnificent dipper display after coming close to conceding an equaliser after going into a three goal lead is beyond laughable.Haven’t seen one mention in the media about Liverpool beating depleted city. take comfort that in 10 years barely any of these people will have a job as print media dies.He can attack us as much as he likes, I wasn't aware the Star was still being published and I doubt that many still read it.
Today, the BBC sports website home page is swamped with Liverpool stories (as above) and the chance to see their goals - again.Haven’t seen one mention in the media about Liverpool beating depleted city. yep dont see the scousers ever having a minutes silence for Heysel. oh wait they want that one swept under the carpet? Two semi religious ceremonies yesterday, one after the other.
The first was a pre planned singing of that song from Carousel - every single note, every single flag and banner shown with the TV and match officials taking their servile and reverential part in it.
Then there was the Hillsborough silence. I always respect such silences if they occur and l expect every one else to do it. But how long do are Liverpools opponents going to have to take part? Is it going to take place for ever and a day like United's Munich Commemoration seems to? United as a club never bothered for many yearswcen removing the floral tributes left by fans as 'rubbish' within minutes. I know of crowd disasters happening at Bolton, Celtic and Bradford but these never seem to be mentioned
generally. Perhaps clubs hve a more private event. Did Liverpool have anything at home during the week which might have been a more appropriate place to do it. I don't recall the taking the knee yesterday. Did they do it?
The media and others have criticised Blues for booing yesterday. Fair enough. But all the booing that Sterling gets every time we play Liverpool and some other clubs continues after 7 years and commentators never mention it or just don't hear it.
Finny old world innit.
I get what you're saying and, mostly, I agree. Two semi religious ceremonies yesterday, one after the other.
