There must be business opportunity to create a media outlet (radio, Tv, streaming) that excludes Rags and L'pool content. Open it up to the rest of the 90 league clubs,

I'd like to hear what a Southampton fan, Leicester fan really feels at the moment, even a Villa fan with the run they're on at the moment.

Watched the match on a channel i'd not seen before (vidio; think it was Malaysian) and the coverage pissed all over sky's. The cameras were either flying around on drones or pitchside and right in the action. Crowd noise was unfiltered and loud, commentators voices were more in the background.
Flipped over to sky and thought i was watchiing a different game. Sound was dull and muddy and comm's was much louder and intrusive.
I noticed the same with crowd noise. Flipping between several channels, the sound on sky was definitely muted against all the others. Because our away support made a constant racket it was really obvious.

Martin Tyler works across a lot of the international channels on champions league games in between working for Sky. Carragher and Mica Richards do it as well, they could probably take it all in-house if needs be.

If the premier league took the broadcasting under their umbrella could they keep bringing in the money year after year similar to what they get selling domestic and international tv rights? The NFL and NBA have their own streaming platform which would be ideal for the premier league to replicate.

They manage to get more and more money each round of tv deals. If there is no tv company to sell too does that mean us fans are then locked into the price going up every time they want more money?
The post I replied to thought that Sky, BT & Amazon use the same pundits, I can't see what you posted as having anything to do with that.

As for your last paragraph, I presume you mean the PL putting the price up if they had exclusive rights but that applies to all broadcasters surely? I know I've just cancelled Sky for the same reason although I don't get Sports off them.

I agree.
One of the principles of Marketing - identify and meet the needs of your customers. Trouble is not everyone is a fan of the two arse cheeks.
Obvious I know but football has changed so much since satellite TV and the Internet gave rise to so many platforms which have to be filled with inane diatribe.
One option is to ignore it all or at least do t take it as gospel.
On the plus side it gives a window into the souls of those same two arse cheeks and to be honest I haven’t got a fucking clue where I’m going with all this.

I never listen to the Sky pundits but made a special exception yesterday. I wanted to hear what they had to say about how quiet the Anfield crowd was for the first 30 minutes, whilst Arsenal waltzed through their defence at will. I know we would be hammered if we didn't support our team when they need it most. Instead I had to listen to them, including Micah, stating how brilliant the dippers' fans were for waking up when there was some minor handbags late in the first half. They also banged on about how "mad things" happen in that shithole....but that happens everywhere. The Aguero moment, the Bayern 3-2 late turnaround, the Sunderland 3-3 etc etc at the Etihad. All clubs have special days at their stadiums. It's years (literally) since I listened to the Sly pundits and I won't be doing it again.

Net spend is sill a meaningless metric though.
No it’s not. It is the basis of ffp and what goes into our accounts. But it doesn’t measure the gross amount spent on transfers, so you could argue gross spend is a better guide to actual transfer activity.

We do have followers (both in the premier league and down the divisions), they just aren’t vocal ones, and for good reason. I think you may be thinking of the change that is happening (and coming) in too narrow of terms. It is going to be seismic, due to a confluence of factors not seen for many decades (which reaches well beyond football, by the way).

And we are counterculture, for the exact reasons you outline. I was speaking of the league culture, which is one old guard cronyism, or a closed shop, as you put it. We are by definition counter to it, as we realised we could not be members. It is pragmatism, to be sure, but many a revolutionary began as a jaded pragmatist.

I can assure you, we have been working to place ourselves in the best possible position as the chaotic transition unfolds.
Counterculture
Revolutionary

Manchester in a nutshell.

Whilst we are all crying out for unbiased coverage it’s not gonna happen. It’s getting worse.

Sky BT - it’s all the same. Riddled with ex reds of both sides from the 90s.

It’s why Sky MNF has now descended into a parody ‘thats 5 mins about tonight’s game but let’s ask Carra and Neville about Utd and LFC’.

It’s why Mark Goldberg has his own fucking show on Talksport.

Its fairly obvious the controllers of all the sports channels have gone down this route.

Look at Talksport for instance, as well as Goldberg they have dickheads like Alex Crook getting a bigger presence - encouraging him to play the one eyed southern Utd fan making snide comments about City at every opportunity. He presents a show on Sunday night that is like listening to 4 southern Utd and Liverpool fans in a pub that have never been to a game chatting absolute bollocks.

Who the fuck wants to listen to shite like that and Goldberg ( but somebody obviously does cause they keep putting it on ).
Post of the year mate!

My lad is 16 and him and his mates (unfortunately) believe everything guys like goldbridge, the bald Irish anfield agenda bell, and whoever else is you tubing and twittering about say. That's the audience they pander too these days, whilst us old fucks sit on the bog and moan about them bluemoon. I'm staggered that there are still people subscribing to sky sports!!

Listening to Chuckle and spitty during the last few passages of play was painful 2 sides of the 1 arse.

Spitty On Sunday.

Wants Arsenal to win the PL title as it’s not good for the PL and English footbal that the same team wins the title constantly. Unless it’s Liverpool way back in the 70’ and 80’s. And United for 2 decades. And Arsenal and Chelsea when they were dominating PL football. During these periods of domination by 1 team, not once did I hear it was bad for English football.

Not good for the Country, the Premier League or not good for the Media ?
Good post btw

I often think of fans of the other Premier league clubs, wolves Palace Brighton WHU etc who are expected to pay full subscriptions to listen to this DipperRag TV without their own clubs hardly ever getting a mention.
We only begrudgingly get a mention because we are Champions, but never in a good light.
But apart from that how does Sly Sports cater for the other clubs supporters who aren’t utd or Liverpool but are expected to stump up the same amount for the privilege.
Fucked it off a long time ago and would urge all the fans of those other clubs to do the same.
