Delaney got absolutely trounced there. I'm amazed he has the temerity to try that rubbish repeatedly, considering his ownership - who literally tried to silence an MP using their legal team & clients at No 10.

Imagine working for a paper that was explicitly used as a vehicle for the owner to succesfully inbed himself into the upper echelons of politics, and still thinking you can talk about 'washing projects' from a point of ethical superiority.
Dealaney keeps repeating that City are Abu Dhabi-owned which is just not true. Not even Der Spiegl claimed we were owned by Abu Dhabi. Why is he not challenged on this? The sportswashing claim is just total bollocks. Sheikh Mansour invests his money (and makes huge profits) all over the world in lots of different sectors. CFG is partnering US-Based Silverlake to build the new music arena at our campus. Is this musicwashing? Is the entire Dubai tourist industry, and all those swanky hotels, an example of tourismwashing. He is totally deranged.

He’s a fucking clown

An interesting read especially this part

Economic Vision 2030

The emirate’s efforts to reduce its reliance on hydrocarbons were given a major impetus in 2008 with the publication of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (then the Department of Planning and Economy).

To support the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, in 2016 a new five-year strategy known as the Abu Dhabi Plan was launched. This blueprint outlined shorter-term goals, including creating an effective private sector that provides business opportunities.

With these plans as a guide, the government intends to develop a diversified, sustainable economy that is integrated into global markets. Creating new sources of income and developing industries that are part of a knowledge-based economy are particular focal points, especially in high-value-added, non-oil sectors like tourism, manufacturing, logistics, health care, education, financial services and telecoms. While working to reach all of the emirate’s goals requires a concerted effort by both private and public entities, private sector funding and foreign direct investment will continue to play an important role in this process as the main drivers of economic growth. According to the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, non-hydrocarbons sectors of the economy, including petrochemicals, are projected to account for 64% of the emirate’s GDP by 2030, while oil and gas activities would contribute the remaining 36%.

In my day, sports washing was called diversification
Well said. All nations, especially oil-producers, are investing hugely all over the world in leisure, tourism, tech, sports, finance, education, pharma, health etc etc. If they don't do this they won't survive because fossil fuels are declining. The idea that this is all some sort of conspiracy to deflect people from human rights issues is sheer madness. Are the Chinese investing all across Asia and Africa building airports and railways and factories because they want improve their image. It is absurd. The main reason the Chinese are all over Africa is because they need Lithium to keep their tech industries moving. Delaney is a moron.

Speak for yourself. I knew who exactly who he was and what he was about. As were many City fans. We were all excited to be getting him.

You are obviously a keen follower of German football then. As are most of this forum it seems. The majority of English football fans are not however.

Only 11 articles about United's win today in the Daily Mail.

And Roy thinks United are certs for a top 4 finish in 1 of the articles.

Roll on Thursday night and a United victory in the Europa League!

"Oh what a night......

That fucking snake Neville is quoted in the mail having another go at our owner!

Something about having a front seat at football or some crap. He is lucky not to have a broken rat face.

Fucking weasel face ****. City nor its owner is your concern nor is anything to do with the peoples game. Rubbish rb and a rubbish mouthpiece for the rags. Slippy bastard.

It is worth remembering that oil is the life blood of the world economy. Without oil, people starve. In the 1970s, when Sheik Yamani led Opec to put in a massive price rise, world recession took place. The oil producers, much to their surprise, suffered as much as anyone. The World Bank and others persuaded them that recycling their new found wealth was key to their own prosperity. Hence they are now a key driver of investment throughout the world. Oil will, of course, become less used over the next decades and the current investment programmes will bear fruit and replace oil revenues.

Pray tell, where has the rags transfer money suddenly appeared from.

Sportswashing lol

What about red top American owners washing ?

24/7 rags and dippers shit from a country that invades our country's if it disagrees with the religion. A country where its citizens walk around shooting each other.
I personally think America is a shit hole and the biggest danger to the world. On a football note I think America owners are a biggest threat to our football.

It wont belong before we have a closed shop league with just American teams. It will be called soccer world series or something.
