Think it was on sky journalists asking David moyes about 'animated managers'. Trying to get other managers to say you don't want robots, clear strategy to get people to believe klopp was just animated and most managers support this.
Just like all those animated parents across merseyside every sunday morning assaulting young referees.

I don't believe journalists fall for their guff, I believe they are instructed to do so.
Or scared shitless not to fall for it.
Everyone in the media and I mean everyone knows
you don't cross Liverpool. If you do then it is very much
a career threatening move. Regardless of just how much
we despise them they have done one hell of a job with the media.
They have them in their pockets and virtually have full control over
what is and isn't published about them. I wish we were one tenth as good as them with the media.

I’ve done a tiny bit of digging and it seems, to me anyways, this rumour has been started by that pleb Ewan MacKenna a few years back in a since deleted tweet which you can still see the screenshots of. He tweeted in reference to a story he was going to publish on Samuel which surprise surprise has never been seen.
And what a sane and rational individual he turned out to be

How the media fall for liverpool's guff is unbelievable. It's like they daren't have a different view for fear of reprisals.
They boo the national anthem, no mention.
The silence for the Queen was interrupted, brief mentions. But not condemnation.
The bus attack, which was videoed, no arrests. The media pretty much let it go as 'a big European night at Anfield'.
They largely 'ignore' Heysel and their arrogance at the time was nothing short of..... errr 'well it's not our fault it's societies!'
English clubs got banned for their actions that night, not just liverpool. All our clubs suffered for THEIR fans.
They blamed Chelsea fans, Thatcher's Britain but took little or no responsibility themselves.
Yet diss them and it's page upon page of anger and disgust.
And no mentions of their scummy fans singing IRA songs from our wonderful media.

I think there's a change afoot. Eddie Howe in the DT this morning has a sizeable article which pulls no punches and NUFC are clearly not gonna sit back and take the shite that Klopp just flings around the place, sorry the shit that Klopp flings around the place that the rest of the nation completely misunderstands.

The diminutive (short arse) that is Chris Bascombe in today's Telegraph has written an article on Klopp being 'misunderstood and taking legal action regarding his comments. It is the the first time I have ever known a football article not be open to comments in the DT. I wonder why that is? Klopp has fucked up big time with this one and it's now comeback to bite him in the arse. Not before time...

Colin Mafham likes this post.

But it just goes to show if you don't sit back and take the shit that they fling they quickly get seriously rattled. This is the first time I can remember Liverpool being on the back foot with the media for a very long time. Why oh why didn't we do something similar 10 years ago?

Eddie Howe won’t be there for long and wouldn’t surprise me when he does leave his tune will change sharpish about foreign owners and not giving managers enough time bla bla bla.

In what way are Liverpool on the back foot with the media here?

The Times has completely removed their article, and every other paper is quickly filling up with articles on how he’s defiantly telling city he’s not xenophobic and taking action to clear his name.

They are definitely backpedalling furiously. The writing is on the wall for Klopp now. He's becoming a liability.

Who is he taking action against ? I missed that one.

Yep, I remember that at the time. It was just after the CAS verdict and poor Ewan was gutted about the outcome so tried to smear Samuel with some completely unfounded nonsense. He then went on to say that he was going to do an article about it but when blues pushed him as to why he hadn't yet penned it, he went all quiet.

I see these days that he's gone into full QAnon conspiracy mode about Covid and the vaccines.

Still there for me?

Though it does have the note at the top about him.

Wasn't he about to do a full 'expose' about us every day for about 6 months?...

I often wonder how much of a bubble we live in regarding all of this. It's clear to me that City, whether they think they should condemn chants or not, are simply not prepared to play the "Liverpool game", which basically involves having to apologise every time they get upset. I also wonder how Klopp can take legal action against thoughts, as I've seen nothing official about him being xenophobic.

But about the bubble - I think the tide has turned somewhat. Ask fans of all other clubs who they would back in this situation - I guarantee the vast majority have had enough of a certain fanbase too, and they're not even involved in all of this.

Nevertheless, the Liverpool media is too powerful, and their fanbase too large, for this to die down in the near future. I look forward to club apologies the next time any fans sing something nasty or any grafitti is found. That's how it works now, right?
