I vaguely remember something about this but searching for it only brings up you mentioning it.

What’s the Source?

Anyone who doesn't believe that the BBC and other outlets post shit about us on every subject is deluded, managers behaviour and specifically Klopps in this case was highlighted with a picture of Pep.

The BBC even gave Klopp a reason why he threatened the linesman.

During Sunday's match at Anfield, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confronted referee Anthony Taylor when the official, invited to consult his pitchside monitor by the video assistant referee, disallowed a City goal for a foul by Erling Haaland.

That and the Klopp incident - which the German said had been borne out of frustration at what he saw as the officials' failure to award Liverpool a free-kick for a challenge on Mohamed Salah - came on a weekend where Merseyside Youth League games were postponed amid ongoing issues with referee abuse.

It's to do with the speed. Slowed down it looks like a 'hand of god' moment, but at actual speed there is no way it was deliberate. Same argument could be applied to the haaland foul leading up to our goal though in the sense that in real time it's nothing. In fairness at the time salad scored I don't think anyone was thinking handball.
It doesn't have to be deliberate. If the ball simply touched his hand/arm BEFORE a goal is scored, including accidental, the goal should be disallowed.

If VAR has a better view than those clips which confirm without doubt that the ball touched his arm it should be disallowed.

The problem for me is we didn't see any close-ups. I wanted to see up close if it was really a Cancelo fuck-up or some outrageous skill from salah. Added to that sight with better views of the "handball" also a very welcome discussion.

Hmm, can’t remember. Was an article discussing City’s press treatment….nope it’s gone.
PS Think it was media watch in F365
I think it was odious Sam no mark from the unathletic saying something like our executives Ferrian and Twixy were referred to, jokingly, in PL board meetings as "the terrorists." Hilarious stuff, not. Plays on the same racist troupes and seems to eminate from american red shirt clubs. Clear and obvious, as a very intelligent man once said.

That is genuinely ridiculous to use that image from the game to highlight the conduct of managers. They're not even attempting to hide their bias.

The caption of that image - Referee Anthony Taylor sent off Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp (left) during Sunday's game against Manchester City

For the past 3 days they've had a picture of Klopp screaming in his face - like the one below - so it's ridiculous to say the BBC have been pro-liverpool in covering this story however it is interesting that all of a sudden as Liverpool start telling everyone they're outraged and going to take legal action about the xenophobia comment, the picture changes.

They should have kept using the picture of Klopp because he is the one red carded for abusing an official, a picture of Pep in this context is completely out of order.

The thing is with all this stoking of animosity someone is going to get seriously hurt, I believe the coach was damaged again, I’d say to Liverpool police if you can’t guarantee our safety we ain’t playing at Anfield. As soon as the hit the coach drive straight back to Manchester and watch the fall out from that live on tv, we never get 3 points so just give to them anyway but what a statement that would be. The worlds press would be all over it, SKYs huge game doesn’t go ahead, Merseyside police are called into question, Klopp comments the lot.
Theres more than one way to skin a cat.
The media have a huge part to play in this.

Today's Metro, read by thousands of commuters is sensationalism at it's best over our percieved rivalry.

It's funny that now it's helping make news the media have finally acknowledged the champions League coach attack...

Lol. They are taking legal action? I've not seen anything about that yet.

To be honest, City should have just let it go without comment, or properly challenge Klopp's rant and ask him to justify it or retract.

Both clubs having a go at each other is unwholesome and irresponsible, and adds fuel to the already hot fire of hostility between fans.

Symptomatic of the fact that sports journalists operate as a pack and are spectacularly prone to groupthink. Most of them wouldn't know an original thought to save their lives.
I think this group of nerds have recognised the right algorithm to get them all maximum clicks/earnings over actual fact driven 'journalism'.

Samuel is last of a dying breed who sticks to traditional ways of reporting and opinion and is very secure in his own skin to publish and be damned.
