woman reporting the Villa keeper was "viciously attacked" in the pitch invasion.

As far as I am aware no official complaint was made and no police investigation ever took place. The video was very inconclusive and looked like an accidental collision. Certainly not enough to support an assault charge. It sounds like some more BBC fake news. The only person who made the claim was Steven Gerrard (not the keeper)...probably as a deflection tactic to conceal his own incompetence.

It really shouldn't be a shock. We already knew that Clattenburg was told to alter his report so that Adebayor could be retrospectively charged.

I think it is accepted that Pep’s City are probably the best team ever to grace the Premier League it is just inconceivable that we will be acknowledged as such by the media.
Maybe in years to come we’ll get the recognition we deserve but at the moment, it’s not going to happen although I have noticed a subtle shift towards more favourable reporting. Very subtle though.

Wasn't it a Grammar school at one stage? I seem to remember a girl from my class at Ashton Grammar going there when her parents moved house. That was in 1962, when Marple was a long, long way away, and probably cost at least 3d to get there! At 12, my first experience of lust.

It was but back in 62 I'm pretty sure the boys and the girls schools were separate at that time, not that it would sop a horny 12 year old ;-)
When I got there in the 70's it was mix and match :-)

i have said before, we really need to bin the BBC denying them access to the club and players until they treat us fairly. Totally ignoring our game is pathetic, even by their standards.
Simon Salford Stone can do a story as soon as the Rags are rumoured to be interested in the Madrid midfielder but cant be arsed to check we are playing tonight.
Deny them access, if contracted to do MOTD interviews do what the Rags done and sent out the kit man.

Very interesting podcast on “undr the cosh” with Kevin Lynch ex ref. He’s very funny but his stories are littered with examples of corruption whilst denying it. He talks about the gifts of subtle bribes in Europe, then gives the impression they took the gifts without altering their refereeing performance. Of course not Kev, that’s why they did it season after season.

Also came out with the classic “Sir Alex was right decisions even up over a season.”
