The whole haaland only had so many touches was kicked into touch by Clinton Morrison yesterday on soccer Saturday when asked about him and the game he said I couldn’t care how many touches he has or anything else for that matter during a game he’s a killer in the box and knows how to finish this lad is frightening..
Although initially I used to find him a bit annoying I find Clinton Morrison pretty sound these days. There don't seem to be too many sly digs aimed at us by Mr Morrison on radio commentaries, and he seems pretty balanced in his views. Old Cilnton may not be in the Pat Nevin intellectual category (not many people are!) Not sure who he actually supports (think it's one of the North London teams?) but I just think he just seems to enjoy watching good football...even when it's us! No doubt someone will ' have a little word' with him at the BBC though as 'the views expressed are not necessarily those of the company/management' or whatever that disclaimer is?
Good point he made about our new 'super striker' too, if he touches the ball once in the game and it's the winning goal in a 1:0 victory, job done.

Clinton loves Pep. He says it would have been his dream to play for someone who could improve him so much. I find the Monday pod on bbc refreshing as if they are allowed to speak honestly without the agenda.

Will have to check that one out. As most people on here say he just want impartiality and honesty from.pundits. If we're shit we're shit (which we are still sometimes capable of being) but also a bit more acknowledgement of the brilliant football we often play.

Did you notice the twat commentator on MoTD said it was 6 in 5 games i.e. counting either the Comm Sheild or the Barca game. WTF.

They must plan the jibes they hate us that much.

On MoTD they also went on about Haaland red card and Ederson mistake/disallowed goal but did not mention the elbow on Cancelo for their second/corner which was a clear foul.

So biased.

TBF to Jenas he did back us to say wasn't a red and disallowed goal was correct.
Wasn't the commentator Peter Drury who's a big City fan?

Driving to swimming on Friday morning radio 2 sports news mentioned Euro draws for 5 British clubs guess who they missed out, only the champions of England that's who. What is wrong with these people.
Bitter, demented, and partially sighted when it comes to recognising the quality of football we play. As someone posted earlier, it can only be part of editorial policy. But where edit means to cut stuff to fit the time, they allocate so much time to the Rags 'n Dippers that they totally ignore THE CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND.

Isn’t it called Super Sunday Match day where they review the games on that day and discuss the highlights from Saturday, I defo won’t be watching it tomorrow over the dipper wankathon in coming.
You’re correct pal; I was wrong @jimharri
What confused me was, the content from that show still seems to be used for the podcast which is still called the Sunday Supplement.
I still don’t think I’ll be watching/listening to this week’s show though.

Dipper on Radio 5 this morning: ".... talk about the money spent, the sports washing, the financial doping", completely unchallenged or corrected by Johnny I’Anson.

That’s the most annoying bit. Like when Red Rory Smith drops it in on the Monday night club in the middle of making a point about something else & Chapman doesn’t say anything about it and just lets it go.

Though it’s Wenger we’ve got to thank for the financial doping phrase isn’t it?

AND they managed to completely ignore the elbow in the face in the lead up to the first goal! Without doubt the biggest talking point but completely brushed over - in fact the commentator insinuated that Cancelo was faking it….

Yeah, it's summat that Pep needs to sort out - sticking the nut on someone's elbow is a clear red card !offence. Just shows yer how shit VAR is - never even had a sniff of it. Get it sorted, Joao

He wasn’t faking it, and it was certainly card worthy.

What doesn’t help Cancelo perhaps is the multiple body rolls he does after going down!

You will be shocked, amazed and astounded to hear that Delooney is not writing about lack of competitive balance in the PL tomorrow
In fact he is basically saying 9-0 is fine if it’s redshirts
Still waiting for Ogden’s thoughts on ‘etiquette’. More as we get it live from the scene, I’m sure they will ask about nothing else pre the midweek cult game lads ke they did to Pep
No suggestions of the scoreline being disrespectful to fellow professionals and that they should have stopped at 5-0?

Colour me shocked...........

Had a pint or two here. This is in Johnstown, Kilkenny and the landlord is a blue. My cousin was a regular until his demise.
Edit. Not sure if the sign is new as I never noticed it before but the other picture is the pub The black and yellow bunting will be for the Kilkenny hurling team.
Got to get me over there............

I had 5-Live on during the morning commute on Friday (which to be honest is fucking awful radio but I'd had enough on Radio 6 and there was fuck all else to go for), confirmed the Liverpool group (which let's be fair is a great group, no issues with that - although I'm sure someone referred to it as the 'Group of Champions', not sure how that one works), and confirmed that Chelsea had been drawn in the same group as Milan and then moved on to Curling or some other shite.

Perpetually ignored since 2008.............

What is it with the BBC and their obsession with how many times Erling touches the ball ?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62702811
reminds me of when tevez scored a hatrick at norwich

And yet because of club rivalry we are having a go at Ten Hag for blanking the sky journo. They are pond life. He's man of the match, first question 'did you dive'

Fuck me fishfingers Rasford has probably only touched the ball 20 times this year. Also didn't the fake one only touch 1 or 3 time in a match recently

According to these stats below Jadon Sancho has had one shot so far this season (all four matches) (the goal v LFC) but on Monday the commentator described him as "brilliant." We really do live in a post-truth society.

EDIT: This usually reliable stats site also says Haaland has provided a respectable 49 passes in his four games (including one assist) so perhaps the BBC claims that he has "only had a few touches" are just more fake news. He has also had 18 shots.

State of the English football press, make me cringe with embarrassment, more worrying are the clowns that believe the tabloid bull, without even doing basic fact checking. football is only a game, but as we all know, Tyrants like Adolph Hitler, Stalin, pol pot and my ex wife, will always prey on the vulnerable, for their own ends
The like is for the ex wife comment :)
