The media are mostly just scum these days, bought for and chasing clicks. Very few reputable “journalists” left.
Henri Winter was being called out on Twitter last night as like most he is too afraid to speak the truth re Dippers and posted about the immaculate minutes silence and comments were like why not report the truth, why are the media scared of Liverpool etc.

What sums them up is a Sun click baiter, i wont call him a journalist. Don or Dan Shodden i think, posting a video of him laying flowers for the Queen in quiet contemplation. So much so he happened to have someone with him filming. Search for it as the comments were pretty funny esp the person who replied that he was next to him and his 4 takes of getting the video correct with angles. And this same reporter has previous slagging one of the Royals, Markle, off for using sad news as photo opportunities

Media Washing

Media Washing by LFC and FSG has long been known. However, true football fans know the reality from their own experience and what they have read and heard with their own eyes and ears. They are not taken in by the media washing through the stories they create, headlines that are downright lies and narratives that twist and distort. We have seen this once again, last night and this morning.

Litigation, media influence through self proclaimed Liverpool supporting editors such as in the Daily Express, journalists who take the path of least resistance or sympathise with the populists whilst negatively attacking others, are just some of many reasons for the media largely portraying LFC in a positive light most of the time. Add to this mix, a city council in LIverpool which has failed in numerous ways so much so that it still requires external Commissioners, and police that look the other way at Anfield unless it is the opposition fans, and a cocktail.of excuses is created.

A post truth society is now here with LFC at the centre of media washing.

Apparently UEFA have said ourselves, Chelsea and Rangers can't play our national anthem before tonight's match. Suggest that we roar it out at the end of the minutes silence, a perfect rebuke to corrupt UEFA and the disrespectful scousers. Come on blues let us show our respects to a great lady.

I suggest we sing God save the King instead of booing the CL anthem as usual.

It reminded me a bit of the City end at Anfield in January 1994 when the silence was held for Matt Busby. It wasn't a majority then, either, but in the Sunday press we got quite a lot of stick for the disruption by a vocal minority. The dippers observed it pretty well, as I recall on that occasion and booed us afterwards.

I personally thought the criticism of our fans that day was deserved. It's quite remarkable, though, how there's a desire to brush it under the carpet on this occasion when Liverpool fans are at fault. Considering it was broadcast live, the media outlets pushing this take can only be said to be trying to gaslight us.

I also note that The Athletic is one of them. In a brief piece entitled 'Liverpool, EFL clubs pay respect to Queen Elizabeth II with minute’s silence,' readers are informed as follows:

If they consider that disruption "minimal", they're being very generous. We all know that if similar had happened at the Etihad, we'd be absolutely hammered for it.

Still, that's The Athletic yet again showing its true colours. I initially subscribed at half price and am currently in a second extension, for both of which I paid a discounted GBP 1 per month. But I won't extend again when my current subscription ends in about four months, even if they tell me I can do so for free.
Why should the manager have to ask?

Only a special kind of moron would boo Matt Busby, one of our best players. Any club, including City, deserves criticism for behaving like dickheads. The problem is that LFC always get a free pass. Still waiting for the outcry over the Steau Bucharest (ie Heysel reference) banner at Goodison.

I think even the anti-Monarchists will sing it tonight. We are all united in our contempt for UEFA. We are now living in a world where some organisations think they can control what we sing. I hope we round it off with a chorus of Fuck UEFA.... if only to see how much the sycophants at BT sport squirm.

Maybe his next idea will be a North & South conference Premier league.
Winning the conferences is minor compared to getting to the conference playoffs and then the big one, the Superball playing for the America’s cup trophy, which will be played in stadia across the world (to the highest bidder of course).
Oh and a reduction in the number of teams in the conferences, there’s only so much pie to share!
Plus no relegation/promotion, keeps the money rolling in without risk, of course.
And the teams names, they really are bad, need changing up to something more dynamic…
The Newcastle Coalers
The Trafford History
The Manchester Mansoors
The striking docks
The Attacking Armoury
The Chelsea tractors
The super villains
The Harry Kanes, sorry, the Hurricane hotspurs
You jest but that’s exactly what these US interlopers want

Justice for the 39. Plus the 600+ more that the feral cunts injured. Always been cunts, and always indulged by our pathetic media. Thank fuck they never do anything seriously bad like throwing paper aeroplanes, chanting You’re Not Incredible, or heaven forbid turning up 7 seconds late for the second half
And of course not forgetting the particularly heinous crime of being drawn away at Dynamo Kiev.

This is going over my head. Sorry. I am missing something obvious here, aren't I? Could you (or someone else) explain that one for me, please?

Not working though, read the comments on any Liverpool story in the media the dislike of them seems to be universal.
