Would be great if we didn't have a cowardly and subservient media. Why couldn't someone say " Jurgen, in the summer you claimed to have the best in the world in every position. How can you claim you're unable to compete?"
Herr-Klopp-risy

There you go any lurking "journos", you can have that one for free - that was it you didn't have a fanny where your bollocks should be...

Or even " Jurgen why you look so ill" is it cos city keep fucking you and your weird cult over every year

And terrified the Cult will find out which school their kids go to, will string their cat up to the gatepost when they get home. Nothing is beneath these contemptible lot. I have stated many times before those in the media are scared of writing/saying anything negative about Liverpool FC for the safety of themselves and their loved ones.
Don't forget nicking their car stereo and hubcaps.

Seeing as City and Liverpool have roughly similar revenues Klopp would be better advised to ask John Henry where the money's all gone. While Sheikh Mansour ploughs all City's profits back into the club and team Turkey Neck Henry hoovers many millions out of LFC every year for other projects and to maintain his lavish lifestyle.

Yes and i think me and a few others might be up for the prize. full members /Simod cup hull city away.
That game was great. There was snow everywhere but the away end backed onto a supermarket. I remember leaning against the warm air vent in a t shirt whilst everyone else was wrapped up against the cold. I have no recollection whatsoever of what happened on the pitch, it was often best that way

Why the FUCK did not a single journalist call him on the spending myth? Literally all they have to say is Nunez cost more than haaland, what’s your thoughts on that?

But no, they all sit there with their thumb firmly up their arses nodding along.
Fucking hell I hate sports journalists!!!!!!!
Because they all agree with him

Exactly, too many on here have thin skin. We don't want to engage in a media war we cannot win. The smart move is to ignore and keep on winning, it winds them up even more.

It pisses me off but when you compare the facts in other threads about City’s record shirt sales, net spend & club finances. We are leaving the cunts behind & their kids & grandkids support us.

Full steam ahead City!

I agree you can't fight every battle. That would be counter-productive. But there is a difference between fake statements made by loons on Twitter (like Delaney) and lies put out by an opposition manager like Klopp. We really can't let that go. If Pep said something similar about another club the PL would throw the book at him. Klopp is inciting hate ahead of tomorrow's match and that has consequences when both sets of fans are already stoked up. There will be trouble tomorrow as usual at Anfield and in Liverpool city-centre but it is rarely reported by the media.

EDIT: I have just checked and what is interesting is that only the Guardian seems to use the phrase "Gulf-state-owned" and some of the other papers seem to have softened their online stories. I wonder if City have been proactive for once. Perhaps Klopp's comments have been twisted by the Guardian.
Journalists are a tight group. Going after one, banning them etc. would end up with worse coverage IMO

He know exactly what he's doing and it's a dangerous game on different levels.
Klopp wants to ramp up the crowd hostility even more, because he knows they aren't 'at it' and I'm pretty sure Pep will know that's the reason. Firstly he's telling his team they aren't good enough and secondly, he wants and needs it to kick off, either outside the stadium or inside. The press are just enabling it.
He's not been held to account for his comments before the CL final which may have contributed to the overall mayhem.

Edit. Sorry bobbyowenquiff just seen your comment. Great minds and all that..

Same here, it annoys me they always focus on the negatives but I find comfort in knowing its driven by envy and jealousy.

Plus I'm certain the manager and players use it as motivation.

Build up the fan base and a bit more success a little more and we can afford to as they can't ignore us. That's what our extremely quiet neighbours did.

Wait until their kids write their Christmas lists;

Haaland 9 home kit
City duvet
Grealish head band
Peter Barnes super trainer

If City do not do something about this misinformation campaign by media the lies will become absolute truth. Young people will have grown up believing 100% the attacks on our club are justified, as they have no other viewpoint for reference.
Why let the fans of the club constantly have to be on the frontline in dispelling these obvious untruths. Just what the fuck are the club waiting for?
Klopps words are on every back page in the country. I'm getting sick and tired of reading this stuff, or even if I ignore it, I have to jump to the defence of MY club if I am in earshot of somebody parroting this bollocks (which I have had to do again this morning)
I love my club, but I didn't sign up for that. Take the fuckers by the scruff, and sort it out City, ffs!!
not quite every back page...

Klopp's interview today states as fact that City are "Gulf-state-owned" and says we have no financial ceiling and "can do what we want." It's not clear if Klopp has been misquoted but the writer presents these statements as facts. It is a lie to say we are state-owned. Not even Der Spiegl or UEFA have ever made that allegation. We have 13 years of accounts which prove it is a lie. We were also cleared of receiving state aid in court by three judges.
By reporting these false statements the Guardian is suggesting our accounts are false (which would be illegal). They are suggesting that our owner, our senior managers, and scores of auditors have behaved illegally. City must respond to these comments and demand a retraction. We should also make a formal complaint to the PL because Klopp's comments (if reported accurately) have breached PL rules by bringing the game into disrepute.
This latest smear is part of the ongoing dirty tricks campaign by senior people at LFC and we can't allow it to continue without a challenge.
We should also demand assurances from LFC and Merseyside police that the coach attack (and that's what it is) being planned for tomorrow is prevented from happening instead of being facilitated as it was last time. If they can't provide protection for our players we should ask for a postponement.

The club really cant do anything to stop the media from writing what they want, but they should be having words with Liverpool. Along the lines of: You either back-up your claims your manager has made about City being state-owned or you tell him to put the record straight.

Hope Pep decks the toothy twat for always undermining our club.
Enough with the hugs and pleasantries.
Tomorrow should be a fucking war!
Come on Pep, let the Catalan in you out.

So many people on here get the right arse about the press/media. I doubt very much that anything the press/media write effects the running of our club. I doubt it effects any of our players.

So why do so many City fans let it bother them ?

Big business wont running scared of some no mark from the press/media. The press/media write purely for the dippers and rags, who are mugs to buy the papers etc.

Klopp has the hump because the season isnt going well, so blames City lol. Real fans know the dippers can compete in the transfer market. Klopp says it to keep the cult onside. The press/media love kloop, so fucking what !!! Both as bad as each other !

If City were state owned you would have thought someone from the press/media would have evidence by now.

Nothing is ever said about Emirates sponsors of the fa cup or of arsenal. I think its abit dodge having the fa cup and a club sponsor by the same sponsor. Remember our dodge semi final against the some years ago ?. Arsenal went on to win the fa cup.

Ignore the press/media like City do. They are just bitter no marks catering for the uneducated dippers and rags.

The sports press/media in this country are a disgrace to the profession of journalism.

Am I right in saying this anonymous Ukranian activist isn't calling for any widespread action against UAE. No government sanctions, no international investigations, no UN action.

Just to look into Mansour owning a football club, everything else is OK.

Suspicious.
We are expected to believe that Sheikh Mansour, who has a purely ceremonial role as one of three deputy prime ministers in the UAE and no official executive powers, and is based in Abu Dhabi, should somehow control where people moor their superyachts in Dubai marina. Meanwhile there are no sanctions operating in Dubai and presumably rich Russians have moored their yachts there for decades so this would be irrelevant to any sanctions operating in the UK. And the whole story is based on an anonymous human rights worker in Ukraine.
So the Guardian have published it without any checks or balancing comments from any other parties. They have published it with no context or background and no comments to confirm if it is true or not. They are so desperate they have used the random angle that an unnamed person has "asked the PL" to investigate Sheikh Mansour. It is ridiculous, basically fake news. It is the sort of shite even the Daily Star would not publish.

The discredited investigation into our finances by UEFA and the equally ludicrous PL follow-up investigation have cast a shadow over our club, damaging our reputation, and tying up our senior managers and lawyers for years. Both these investigations were started because of pressure from the media encouraged by our commercial rivals. Neither of them would have happened without media pressure. I can't think of any other sporting organisation which has been subject to such a smear campaign. We can't afford to ignore it.
