He lacked a little effort at times last season but for parts of the season and the majority of the 07-08 season he was pure class. When he is putting the effort in he becomes unplayable. A very good signing for you and I'm much sadder to see him go (if it is true) than I was expecting to be.

i know your an arsenel fan and all .... but whenever i have the chance i watch them too because of the great style of play :-)
but whenever i have seen Bendtner he has been attrocious ..... he is worse than Richards infront of goal ! and that is saying something for a striker ! .... only good thing i have seen him do, after seeing him a lot of times was a huge, wonder pass in a cup game ... thats was mint ... rest of it .... woeful, i would however like to know how you build a team around arshavin and not fabregas though? .... fab is the captain, much much younger and arguebly the better player .....?

im one very happy city fan atm if his capture is sealed, so it must be a bit of a hard pill to swallow, as i always believed he has been a bit under-rated, and only truly rated at arsenel (when henry left). you still have Bendtner .... should make you smile? (or cry) .... as the other arsenel fan seems to rather like him.
i do have a question though ..... what do you think of that Morrocan replacement you have supposedly lined up?

You mean Chamakh. I don't know about him at all really, I can't say I've ever watched the French League with any great interest. He doesn't seem exactly a prolific striker from his stats on Wiki (great source I know), 46 goals in 192 apps and with the Premier League being arguably a much tougher league, I don't expect him to fair much better. It seems quite a few fans are calling out for us to target Huntelaar as a replacement instead, whilst he does have an excellent goal scoring record, it's largely down to the poor quality of the Dutch league so I don't know how well he would fair in the Premier League either.

I'm fairly certain they were old quotes from before he even signed for Arsenal just aimed at stirring up some controversy.
