Thanks for the great compliments.Watching City the other night is like watching a different sport to my lot at Sunderland. I hope the long term Maine Road lot are lapping it up.
Happy birthday, mate.I remember not being born you foc, only 54 today, happy birthday me ;/)
No mate, we are in the play offs, can only finish as low as 5th I thinkThanks for the great compliments.
I’ve been supporting City since 1970, and I’m loving every minute of it.
I’ve had a soft spot for Sunderland since that wonderful day in May '73, when you beat dirty Leeds in the Cup final, even though you beat us on your way there.
Best of luck for the rest of the season and going forward. Hopefully, the new régime will bring in the right people to run the club properly and everything else will fall into place.
I hope you win promotion, though I see you have to win your last game to ensure that you even make the playoffs.
We’ve secured a play off spot already, not holding my breath whether we can finish the job and get promoted, a lot of injuries and it’s Sunderland after all haThanks for the great compliments.

Great to enjoy the good times been a fan for over 50 years so seen more bad than good, but i love it. The ESL move left a sour taste in the mouth but our owners have doen far more good than bad and they have overall been superb for us. As have our players, Managers and backroom staff. Loving every minute. Sad to see the bad times at Sunderland and i hope success is just round the corner for you. Only been to Sunderland once , in the 70's when you were battling with Bolton for top honours in division 2. A great trip on Easter Monday. Went in the Roker Victory club with 6 mates and got blathered before the game. Great fans no problems.Watching City the other night is like watching a different sport to my lot at Sunderland. I was at the match in 1966. What a miserable place Sunderland was then. I haven’t been back since so I can’t comment further. It was New Years Even and a Saturday night and the pubs shut at 10:30. We got attacked by Neanderthals on the way out if the pub.I well remember going to roker new years eve 1966. We lost 1 0 to a late Bobby Kerr goal. Some pillock pulled the chain on the return train to Newcastle for our connection to Manchester. Back in town after the last train to Bury, my dad picked me up near crumpsall on on my walk back to Bury. I was one of a very few blues from Bury in those days. Met many Sunderland fans after the 2014 final - simply wonderful people.

Apart from us I should add!Fucking proper club with proper fans, them and West Ham
I’ve watched Sunderland til I Die and so much of it resonates of what it was like supporting City in the 90s and 00s. Good luck in the play offsWatching City the other night is like watching a different sport to my lot at Sunderland. I hope the long term Maine Road lot are lapping it up.
Our Tune :)Like many, I have a soft spot for Sunderland.
Started in '73 at Maine Road. 11 at the time so didn't have a clue about Sunderland. My Dad said we would have no problem beating them as they were near the bottom of Div 2.
Sat near the front of the North Stand next to the Kippax. Don't remember much of the game but the atmosphere was electric. I remember it kicking off a few times in in the Kippax and behind us in the seats.
Was at our Static caravan in Towyn for the final. I'd drawn their club crest and put it the window. My Day was worried that we might get a brick through the window from some dirty Leeds fan!
Felt for a coach load that had come down for a mid week game and had a number of windows put through (81? I think)
1991 - what a day that was. One of the best days I had at Maine Road.
1996 friendlies at Exeter and Plymouth. Stayed in Torquay for those games. Bumped in to a Mackem, Ian, in a pub one lunch time. Got chatting etc and had a great laugh. Fucking hell, he hated the Geordies. Came along for the Exeter friendly. His girlfriend was wearing a Celtic shirt. That didn't go down too well the the South west branch who were all Rangers nuts! we exchanged numbers and kept in touch.
1997 tour of Scotland. Lucky for me, Ian was living in Kirkaldy and he kindly put us for the week. Met up a few more of his mates, all good lads too, they came along to the Livingston game. They kept asking me why City fans were singing about the Sash (Rangers)!
Met them again for the first game at the SoL. Went in to a Vaux pub just across from the stadium and all the fans were brilliant with us. The return at Maine Road was the last time I saw Ian and his mates. We both chose different paths sadly, but great memories I've kept.
My favourite second club and fans. Will be rooting for them in the Play-offs and hope they get back to the premier league soon.
