Metrolink to / from Etihad

Struck lucky today on the way home. A brisk walk from the Etihad got me to Piccadilly just in time to get an Alty tram home. Good job as the boards down the line said the next tram was 36 mins later.
As for getting there double Etihad specials direct to the Etihad every 20 minutes - no crushes and a civilised journey. So Metrolink as I`ve said previously it ain`t rocket science. The penny may have dropped.

I've used it plenty of times to get to the Empti stadium before the game. But I've only used it twice post game. And I won't use it again. Absolute mayhem. They'll be lucky if they don't have a serious incident at that stop at the ground. I'll usually hike it back into the city centre, along with thousands of others. You'll usually beat the buses back into town. Just checked on Google maps; it's a 1.6 mile walk from the stadium back to Store Street.

Just checked there were no engineering shenanigans planned for Saturday, looks ok. However, some horror weekends on the horizon throughout Jan, Feb, March (derby weekend) due to works.

Trams from South Manchester will terminate at Trafford Bar the day of the Derby, bloody brilliant.

That is me off to the Airport and get the train into Piccadilly.

Derby hasn't been moved for telly yet, there's still a good chance it might avoid Metrolink works...and when have works ever affected Scum fans anyway? Met will be falling over themselves to ensure no Rags are affected.

It is all that weekend, so unless the game is Friday or Monday night it will be effected.

That`s nothing wtf was that protest in the city centre all about. Or was it just a Metrolink excuse for no trams.
I was quite pleased with them for a change - city kindly put up on the screen Ashton tram in 9 mins so I timed it perfectly with a minute to go a double pulled in ? Ran for it and made it ! If only it was always like this ….
