Metrolink to / from Etihad

That's what I fear. I can understand why Manchester is discouraging people from using cars but if we don't have a public transport system good enough to pick up the slack that's far from ideal. The good news is the shuttle bus service seems to be expanding out to more areas.

I agree, still think a regular train service would be miles better

It's ridiculous that it often takes two hours or more to travel ten miles home after a match on public transport. Somebody posted they lived in Hull which is almost a hundred miles and their journey was under two hours!

Slightly off topic but I was on a well loaded tram from Town to Didsbury this afternoon.
At Chorlton, a group of feral kids boarded and started squirting around a can of deodorant. A lady next to me told them to stop as it may trigger someone's asthma. I then took it upon myself to snatch the deodorant can out of the hand of the kid standing next to me and chucked it out of the tram window.
This was met with a round of applause from everyone in the vicinity, and the kids were shocked as they obviously weren't used to being told to stop doing anything anti social by their parents or teachers.
The coming together of everyone else on the tram restored my faith in humanity!

Litter bug.

Yes there is congestion and overcrowding but don't worry our Mayor, Andy Burnham is on the case.
All you need to do is close down the rail freight yard and move it to St Helens. The cost of several hundred million pounds to do this will come from the government..........

Oh hang on.......let me get back to you on this I think I have my wires crossed.
