A great shame.

It is, but as harsh as this sounds there isn't much room for sentiments in Football and the club comes first imho.

Love zab but i wonder how he would look if had been out as long as Micah and was thrown in against Ribery?
The Audi Cup match when Ribery turned Zaba inside out after starting preseason late is probably a hint.

Nice to see you jum, I see you've been avoiding the zab and Micah debate like the plague, I won't rub your face in it, just a smile (:

Re: Micah Richards

Gutted for the lad but have a feeling this latest injury may well be the end of his career at City for whatever reason he just has had the worst luck for the last few years.

Re: Micah Richards

We were sat with the Bayern fans last night, right where the players did their warmups. I have to say I was surprised to see Zaba warming up right from kick-off, while Micah was on the pitch. In hindsight, a good job he was!

A lot of people are forgetting that zabs is coming to the age of where most players hit there peak where as micah is at that age where he is still finding his feet. Not everyone can be as talented as messi a lot of the time players gain with age i mean look at baines he was barley talked about until past few seasons.

I think its wrong for everyone to quickly say get rid of him he has given 100% for this club and has stuck by it he has the ability to be an international he just needs to sort his injuries out i will stick by him until the end i want him to sign a new contract he was the best fullback the year we won the title its just poor luck at the moment for him.

I certainly feel for him last night he was clearly upset so you can see what it means to him.

I think im right in saying that when zab first came to the club at 25/26 ish ?? He was a good player but an absolute liability -a red card waiting to happen but he's improved as he's matured as a footballer and im sure if Micah can clear his injury niggles he will no doubt show his true form again in a blue shirt and not only that but will get better as has zab.

I admit his injuries are a bit of a worry(as are vinnie s) but our medical team should be looking at each individual and customise training regimes to suit and encourage longevity .

I dont understand how some blues will show long term support to some of our players but wont with others !!

Re: Micah Richards

I like Micah and am genuinely gutted for him. In my infamous Micah thread in the summer I was being genuine when someone well placed at the club had talked to me about monitoring his cost per game and there was a real chance of him going. Based upon the last 3 months I can't see the club renewing his contract. Harsh but true. I genuinely hope I am wrong and he sorts his fitness and form out.

Re: Micah Richards

This is like Michael Johnson all over again. Terrific players with potential to hit their best peaks but the injuries just began to pile up.

Harsh reality to face.

Since when was Micah a pisshead?

Re: Micah Richards

Terrible comments in this topic. Hard to believe that many are from City fans
