He must be hurting inside forget what money he earns an English international with a world cup coming up and he can't get fit. Apologies to the fans what a class act.

he seems to be really cut up about the injury, not least because it could mean he doesn't get offered a new deal and has to leave the club

Re: Micah Richards

I really feel for him. He's a first class guy and is having the worst of luck at the moment.

He does appear to be very out of sorts at the moment.

Re: Micah Richards

I love Micah - He's got the heart of a lion, but unfortunately the brain of a peanut.

Takes on too many unnecessary challenges, usually due to over-commitment / being out of position - Despite all his experience, he seems to have learned very little.

This probably is 'last chance saloon' for him. If he can get back strong and fit by February, he could still have a part to play this season, and may possibly get a new offer for the longer term.

Re: Micah Richards

He needs to slim down , he is way to bulked up for a footballer

Re: Micah Richards

A lot of people are forgetting that zabs is coming to the age of where most players hit there peak where as micah is at that age where he is still finding his feet. Not everyone can be as talented as messi a lot of the time players gain with age i mean look at baines he was barley talked about until past few seasons.

I think its wrong for everyone to quickly say get rid of him he has given 100% for this club and has stuck by it he has the ability to be an international he just needs to sort his injuries out i will stick by him until the end i want him to sign a new contract he was the best fullback the year we won the title its just poor luck at the moment for him.

I certainly feel for him last night he was clearly upset so you can see what it means to him.

Re: Micah Richards

At the risk of sounding like a broke record, i had the same operation as Micah had on his meniscus & the doc told me that it would be years before i was fully fit again if i ever. Now Micah is obviously a lot younger than me and will have access to top physios etc. but the same basic principals apply.

I was told that the leg that was operated on would be weak due to muscle wastage and that i would be susceptible to severe cramp and muscle pulls. The good leg would over compensate for the injury to the other and this would be also at risk of muscle injuries. Seems to me Micah is just going through this process at present and i think we should still persist with him.

Re: Micah Richards

The problem is he has only a couple years left on his current deal, has only made 11 appearances in two seasons and as much as I want him to get back into form as he is a terrific lad, there are no guarantees that he will be the same player once his latest injury clears up.
