We will get very low fee for him. Maybe less than 5m.

Sooner or later he will have to go for a medical and then we maybe cant even sell him and will loan him out with us paying some of his wages. Wrost case scenario of course.

We won’t get anything. No player is going to agree to a transfer in their last year of a contract when they could take any fee themselves in 6 months.

You say that but we did with De Jong. I hope he goes to Chelsea and does well for himself.

Will we get a fee - but only if he joins Fiorentina. We have one of those Barry style deals in place, Fiorentina have agreed to pay something if he joins them at the end of his loan. But considering he's sat on their bench for the last 6 league games and 9 out of their last 10, my guess is they don't think he's worth it. I'm not surprised if he hasn't settled there, Serie A isn't the greatest league but it's very tactical and Micah isn't an intelligent footballer. Ashley Cole has flopped too but he can probably blame age.

I think he will get better offers in the summer from PL teams. He must be sick of being a bench / squad player now so it must be all about playing time for him. Chelsea have one of the most consistent back 4s and JT has at least another year in him so I can’t see why he would go there. I would think somewhere like Everton a better fit.

Sagna as I said is a CL quality defender hence he marked Ribery out of the BM match. Richards can't defend, can't attack, and can't stay fit. I love him but if you genuinely believe he's better option than Sagna your lost.

The points you make are pretty ridiculous, even for this forum! If Sagna is Champions League quality, that would make him as good as Zabba. NO CHANCE!!

Micha was on a par with Zabs in the attacking sense, great crosses in and always there to overlap. Sagna, who's been at Le Arse for years has only just dipped his toes into that particular water! At least Maicon got stuck into that part of it when he was available, no matter how brief the stay!

You need to absorb the play more!

I'm disappointed to mate but I shouldn't be surprised. Probably the same dick heads who made Richard edghills life a misery too.

Ok, Micah Richards may, ultimately, have not been good enough for where we want to be. He was a victim of Pablo's rise to one of the best full backs around and injuries blighted him too but for 'fans' to say he is shit is grossly unfair. Laurent Charvet was SHIT. Michael ball was SHIT. do I need to go on naming shit full backs?
Richards came in at a young age, did exellent, played for England, was one of our best defenders and to me is a Blue! Things change and times change and it is probably time to move on but I'd still take him over Sagna.
Were you all supporting City when we hammerd the reds 6-1? Richards was awesome that day and at the time was head and shoulders above Zabba. Any one who's vast knowledge of football is summed up by saying he 'is shit' clearly doesn't know a lot.

So, from me it's a big GOOD LUCK to Micah Richards wherever you end up. Once a blue....

Some good comments however, since 2012 he's been going downhill faster than a runaway train.

It was best for all concerned that he left, at one time I thought he could have been a superstar after getting the England right back gig as chuckle packed it in but due to injuries, perhaps application and certainly form he is/was nowhere near superstardum.

Good luck in Italy, I don't follow the fortunes of Florentina closely but if he's actually been fit his game time is shocking. Maybe, just maybe he's the level we thought he was not the level he thinks he is himself.

Aah I'm in full agreement that it's time to move on mate (still unsure about Sagna and a fully fit Richards is still the better option but I'm prepared to move on too), I'm just wound up by comments just saying 'he is shit'. He's not shit, just not at our level anymore. I'm not going to quote as I can't be arsed but some tool even said he was arrogant. Well I can only go off interviews and people who've met him and arrogant is something he ISN'T. He comes across as a genuine bloke always up for a laugh.

To me he is part and parcel of a group of players who helped us to where we are and I for one will be forever grateful. Your mercaneries like Adebayor etc can whistle, Richards is a blue at heart tho and I wish him luck and I actually think he's still capable of getting into most premier league teams. Liverpool came second last year with Glenn Johnson... And he IS shist!!

Re: Micah Richards - Why I had To Leave City

The only reason Micah had to leave was because pellers didn't rate him. Interesting too that all these long term "injured" players are no longer long term injured when they leave city. He's still a better back up than Sagna for me and a better centre half than Boyata. Mangala on the evidence so far isn't really much different than Micah, certainly not £32 million different anyway. Too many FIFA playstation posters on here. Remember where we came from and who helped get us here!

Well said.

If I remember rightly, Pells didn't fancy Jimmy M much either and look what a bit of persistence and game time did for him.

Micah Richards why I had to leave City ( and now can't get in the Florentina, as I call it , team ). Because I'm shite !!

a bit fucking harsh, Richards was a loyal player through the years and deserves credit!

Don't give a fuck what you think, Richards will go down as a true blue that played for City. He will in my eyes be higher in my estimations than the Yaya's of this world.

Higher than Yaya? Stupid comment of the year so far. He will be seen as one of our greatest ever players. Micah wouldn't get in the top 100. Don't be ridiculous.

Re: Micah Richards - Why I had To Leave City

Micah had/has no choice but to leave city as he will never get a long run in the team under Pellegrini. This is understandable as zabba has overtaken him and plays with more intelligence plus Micah always seems to be injured these days. Why any city fan would be bitter towards him is beyond me. I was at villa park when he scored his first goal and the place went absolutely mental. Good times.
