Micah Richards the pundit

Micah's bad takes are a thing of beauty.

He said Cucurella was incredible when he was the worst player on the pitch last night.

Has Fabian Ruiz being better on the ball than Rodri.

Micah is trying too hard to improve his reputation as a proper technical pundit.

Maybe it's because he has the other technical genius, Rio next to him and thinks he needs to impress!

Tbf, Cucurella was not incredible, but was not worst player on the pitch. Jesus looked bad chasing Mpoopy, it is very interesting they did not try to capitalize on that flang more often. Rabiot also was arguably worst.

Best players for me were
Olmo - what a first touch and technique for the goal. also was thru ball and creativity galore.
Yamal - was sensational
and Rodri - was the glue that made Spain tick and unlocked Olmo and Yamal. Kids would say, that he pocketed Kante

Micah said that long haired fucker at Spain, Cuccerchelo *Chelsea, or some shit had a good game, he's absolute wank, target him that's England's best bet to win.
You generally see Cucurella pass backwards when he gets the ball. He did bomb forward a couple of times last night but he is a safe pass player. When he is threatened whilst on the ball he goes down like a sack of spuds. We dodged a bullet IMO.

What does this even mean? Mangala wasn't a good defender but he had a brilliant game against Costa, if a pundit acknowledges that, would that make that pundit a bad pundit?

Cucurella had a good game yesterday, Pundits don't analyze a players past record on matchday, they talk about that players performance for that particular matchday. Micah giving Cucurella his credit yesterday is actually what you would expect from a good pundit. It's just weird how this hatred against Richards feels manufactured. Damned if he does, damnned if he doesn't

Navas was by FAR their WORSE player

Micah has clearly tried to move away from the class clown / village idiot act during this tournament. However he’ll be back at it come the start of the season on SKY, because that is what he he is scripted and paid to do. And to be fair he’s a natural at it.

He was probably Spains worst player, what game were you watching?

Look up L'equipe, Goal, telegraph, even sky ratings but I guess your response would be "Oh, everyone knows the media know fuck all about football compared to the footballing masterminds here".

Richards was right. Cucurella had a good game. Navas was the worse.
Never rated Cucurella but he has been very good so far in the Euros.

100%, He's had a great competition. I'm not sure why some just can't bring themselves to say this. Or is it simply because Richards pointed it out as well?
I think Cucurella is having a fantastic tournament. I've continued to say it over the last two years even when he's bobbins with Chelsea, I genuinely think he would be a completely different player if he had of joined us and been coached by Pep.

He's definitely not as bad as he looks when he's with Chelsea, Don't get me wrong I hope he continues to flop at Chelsea but I think they'll see an improved Cucurella under Maresca.
