Zaba was far too narrow tonight against Ribery/Robben, you can't have wingers of their ability getting the ball with 10-15 yards of space to run into.

Micah played better against Bayern than Zaba did that's for sure. As I expected.
Like I posted earlier in the thread, Zaba stabs too much, and Ribery fucked him time and time again because of this.
Micah also wouldn't have left Boyata on his own, as he revels in getting in the box and clearing away crosses.
What Ribery did to Zaba today, he couldn't do to Micah.

There's been talk about Micah brain (wtf? is it because of how he looks), and positioning, but tonight Zabs was appalling in both regards and had me shitting it.

Are you seriously going off tonight's performance? Zaba is quite a way back in sharpness than Micah, but again they are both top class players and we are blessed to have them both.

I still believe Zabaleta is the better defender, but he needs to learn to deal with fast tricky wingers such as Ribery.
Micah is better going forward, some of those powerful runs he goes on will will cause even the best of teams problems.
So happy we have the pair of them, perfect competition.

This. Unbelievably overrated. Walker, Rafael, even Santon were better than him last season IMO.

Yeah course. I can understand how a player might get overrated by fans of the club he plays for, even by fans of other clubs, but when players of other teams vote for him that tells you something.

Thank my giddy aunt that someone else thinks that Richards can't defend like me, because imo it's true.
Going forward Richards is miles better, and like others have said I'm glad we have two fantastic players for the same position.
The same can't be said about Kompany's replacement as we don't have one.
