Michael Johnson arrested

I wonder how the people who criticise him would do in similar circumstances?

A young lad with plenty of money, but because of recurring injuries, unable to do the thing he loves best, play football.

Maybe he could have conducted himself better at times, but to realise that your dream of playing the game you love is ebbing away, it must be difficult not turn to drink to drown your sorrows. Especially has you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

All I will say is that in all the years I have been watching City, there is only two players who have come through the ranks that made think they could be stars for City and England. They where Paul Lake and Micheal Johnson.

If he wants to drink and piss his career away, fair enough. that's his choice. Pure stupidity, but hey-ho. Once he decides to get behind the wheel of a potentially deadly weapon while ALLEGEDLY over the limit means he forfeits any sympathy I might have had for him. A spell behind bars and actually ending up doing a ''proper'' job when he gets out might do him a favour and wake him up to the crass lunacy of what he's doing/ has done with his career.

It's nice to see a measured response to this kid's desperate situation, oh sorry I misread it, it's just another bluemoon tirade following the well trodden path of previous posters/like minded people with very little understanding of his predicament.

I have much more sympathy for Michael Johnson than I had for Carlos Tevez and his much publicised problems. Michael needs help and support from those much closer to him than us mere football fans. I wish him all the luck in his recovery even if, as I mentioned, he never plays for us again.

Have a heart people.

I'm not a ****, therefor I don't drink and drive.

His choice, if all he wants is eat burgers and piss himself, he is good to go. It's hard to feel sorry for him, there are thousands of players with injury problems, they still work hard to somehow overcome that, they don't stuff their faces and drink themselves to ground instead. Maybe when lad will run out of his lottery money that City are still paying, he will think twice

Innocent until proven guilty anyone?
You obviously didn't spot the ''allegedly'' in my posts?
Wasn't aimed at you in particular. I just think before we comment negatively on the guy we should at least have confirmation that he is guilty. If indeed he is then there is no defending that kind of behaviour.

What I will say it is such a shame that a truly talented young man who is blue through and through will never achieve his potential.
