Middle East Conflict (merged)

In the long run the only solution is a viable Palestinian state, perhaps a major confrontation might bring this about by way of a peace settlement but lots of innocent people will die, mothers will lose sons on the battlefield and for what?

Israel quite rightly is a very insecure country blood curdling rhetoric from its neighbours does not help, a settlement of the Palestinian issue will pull the rug from under the extremists

Equally the dreams of the messianic extremists Jewish groups of a greater Israel will need to be quashed, most civilised democracies sideline their extremists

Wanting the total annihilation of the state of Israel has nothing to do with land and everything to do with a warped and evil religious ideology.

A Palestinian state tomorrow does not suddenly solve that issue and Israel is fully aware of that fact.

All these mortal enemies of Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah etc couldn’t give a rats arse for Palestinians. They are a convenient cause to pretend to care about whilst they go about their only true aim and in doing so, they do more harm to those they pretend to care about than anyone else.

Whoever thought 7th October wouldn’t have brought about the response so far and still to come is a liar. They knew full well what would happen, didn’t care and will never care.

Palestinian citizens are expendable collateral, convenient to hide amongst and equally convenient to use as they wage a media war using the dead, they’re responsible for because of their own tactics.

Something tells me that Judaism would not be allowingly openly practiced without confrontation in such a scenario.

That's why a sensible two-state solution is the only viable option, IMO.

I’m in full agreement, but sense doesn’t suit the cunts in power of either side.

It's probably time for the one state solution tbh. It's the greatest way of getting rid of the religious and racial extremists coming from America, Europe of within Israel and Palestine and stirring the pot again.

That's what it looks like on the surface.
But historical facts paints a completely different picture.
For example, Jews were expelled from Medina around 624AD. Also, we know what happened to Jews in Khaybar (we hear chants of this massacre every Saturday in the streets of London).
These events events happened centuries before the creation of Israel.
Just checked the battle as I didn't know it. Wikipedia says 15,000 Jews fought with 1,400 Muslims. 93 Jewish dead and 18 Muslims.

Hardly a massacre. Bloody hell France and Britain death toll at Waterloo way more yet I wouldn't dream of using that as proof that France and Britain hate each other.

I've read some nonsense on here, but suggesting the French aren't cunts is pushing it.

That's a very American point of view based on the need to show power, the Palestinian issue is the major cancer in the middle east true there are other issues such as economic development (poor people are ripe for the picking by extremists) there is no other way of solving this issue if violence continues after it has to be dealt with, but sitting on hands and kicking it into the long grass is not an option, you can't bomb a people into submission and claim to be a light of democracy

The insane thing is, it's going to happen sooner or later if we do it sooner a lot of blood can be spared

Arabs never allowed the Jews to live peacefully among them for the past 1400 years. That's why Jews were expelled from most Arabian countries. Prior to this period, I agree that they did they did live peacefully among each other.

Israel will be more than willing to trade land for peace. They proved this with the Sinai peninsula agreement with Egypt. They tried to negotiate peace with the Palestinians via the Camp David accord.
If the conflict is about land, why do non-Arabs like Iran invest so much for the destruction of the Jewish state?

Also, the Hamas charter does not include the establishment of a Palestinian state as an objective. However, it does include the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel. Do you think this is because of land?
Netanyahu doesn't want the establishment of a Palestinian state. And was willing to kill an Israeli leader to prevent it.
