A quick google, half of the Israeli Jews are from Arab countries and about the same from Europe, with a substantial smattering from all over the rest of the globe.

There were a fair few at the emigration center I lived at when first moved there, no doubt there are a fair few but the majority is wide of the mark .
Russia also used to supply Syria with munitions used mainly to threaten Isreal , which was very much frowned upon
