Middle East Conflict

I’m painfully aware of the hate crime committed by a deluded old racist and denounce it unequivocally!

Are you suggesting some kind of equivalency?

I’ll assume you also want to talk about the young kid who slaughtered people inside the Temple a few years ago, too?

It’s all misdirection by deluded individuals acting out of ignorance.

I was hoping to find more nuance and discussion of the underlying causes and sentiments for these issues than the whataboutism for which the internet is famous. My mistake.

- There is no problem with mass migration.
- There is no problem with the ideologies it brings.
- There are no cultural changes in multicultural societies.

Got it! (smh)

Btw, how do we know they’re multicultural societies if there is no evidence of the different cultures?!

Carry on.
Perhaps you can discuss the question of “why there is mass migration” in Europe, maybe the next two statements will be easier to discuss.

1 - mass migration from Afghanistan refugees after the Afghan invasion by US and its allies
2 - mass migration from Iraq refugees after the Iraq invasion by the US and it’s allies
3 - mass migration from Syria - Libya for the same reasons -
4 - mass migration from Egypt due to West interference in local government policy and regime change operations causing security and economic instability locally
5 - a large number of migrants from countries like Pakistan due to US interference in local governments regime changes causing security and economic instability locally
6 - a large number of migrants from countries like India due to labour shortages in UK and Europe and the foreign policy to promote trade with India
7 - education being a large industry in Uk and Europe and Uk and Europe promoting its education to gain billions from international students from poorer countries.
8 - economic and social inequality across regions
9 - the geographical mobility of people today compared to 30 years ago, the language barriers being overcome, the tourism hotspots like Dubai attracting people from the west

I could go on but making an observation like Muslim population in Europe is on the rise is well and good, and factual. But if that observation leads you wonder about the cultural issues or ideological issues it causes, then perhaps look at the root cause of it. And see if the US and the west should have thought of it before pillaging country after country across the aforementioned parts of the world.

If you are going to knock down your neighbours house because you didn’t want to see him happy, don’t be surprised that when it rains or sun is at its hottest that he comes looking for shelter in your house no matter how much you dislike him as he’ll have no where to go and have no resources to build another house of his own.

The west professes that it’s culture is the best, it’s way of living is the most just, it provides the most freedom on how people should live, then don’t be surprised that people want to come and live there. And as it happens with migration, no one side loses its culture completely but a hybrid is created.

Isreali polling is vwry bad news for Netanyahu. 4 out of 5 accuse HIM of negligence over the Hamas attack AND for encouraging the spawning of the monster that is HAMAS in the first place.
Absolutely stonishing polling numbers.

Good. He fucking deserves oblivion.

I think the bigger question is why did Israel facilitate promote, encourage, finance and nurture an organisation with the stated aims of the destruction of the state of Israel?
I think it's a question more of the Israeli public should be asking.
They are asking, and lots more like the peace without peace talks strategy

No idea what kind of sample they've used in that polling but it's quite clear that his strategy of treating Palestinian people like animals has failed to keep Israeli Jews safe. Let's not forget, he was one of the main ringleaders stirring up opposition to Rabin's peace process nearly 30 years ago. Netanyahu and ultra nationalist Rabbis were warned at the time that their rhetoric was contributing to a hostile atmosphere and that Rabin's life was in danger. Netanyahu has never been interested in finding a route to peace which involved diplomacy or negotiation and the last PM that was was assassinated by one of his own people.

A hell of a lot more bloodshed to come, hey ho soon be Christmas peace and goodwill to all men and all that bollocks

As a right wing populist he’s lasted a long time mainly by telling Israelis what they want to hear, not what they needed to hear, it’s a tragedy that it’s ended up like this, the population is divided as never before, with many young Israelis just upping and leaving

As the world sheds itself of the right wing populists, I hope Israel is next

Credit to the Israelis in this sample who have a balanced perspective, in these terrible times. Clearly the Hamas terrorists were responsible for the initial atrocities but when there are terrorist attacks in the U.K. intelligence failures are heavily scrutinised. Something that Netanyahu’s fan boys on here don’t seem able to contemplate.

Turning to the hostages, there has to be some hope that hostages can be saved. The situation is bleak but Israel has spent decades training many of the best special forces troops in the world. There’s also rumours of prisoner swap talks but it’s hard to envisage a swap atm. There’s doesn’t seem a God atm but I’ve said a prayer for the hostages anyway.

With POTUS visiting I think this underlines just how much of a precipice the world stands on, I think the threat is clear from Iran, that their axis will join the fight, Israel may beat them but it could be ruinous for it, if America gets involved it’s just another conflict that would be never ending

What this needs is for Israeli vengeance to be satisfied, I prefer justice but here we are, and a serious attempt to solve the root cause of this, a first step would be to stop the right wing nutters in the settlement’s deliberately inflaming things, many Israelis blame them and feel that they were seeking an apocalyptic showdown with the Palestinians, hence all the provocation they were also using the IDF as a private army
